Stupid Republican idea of the day

Yes, if someone were to be charged with a crime and found innocent in America, the damage would be incalculable.

I think I know the answer to that one.
Did he mean something other than his being born in Kenya? If so, what? Is he thinking of hiring Ken Starr with an unlimited budget and timetable to try to find something for Obama not to “get away with”?

At least he knows not to try. Give him credit for that much.

Chemtrail sprayers solve this problem easily.

Clearly, he’s worried about young people getting the message that it’s OK to have been born in Kenya.

Dispose of nuclear waste by mixing it with jet fuel?

Wait, don’t they already do that?

Grounds for impeaching Obama will be: Presidenting while black.

The recovered actinides can be reused for another go-round in the cycle (though they aren’t currently.) If you could separate out the light elements (for example, the cesium and strontium) you could store those separately with their short half-lives until they decayed away or use them if there’s known radiomedicine. There’s actually a lot of useful stuff you can get out of a reactor and it’s kind of a shame that the best we can think to do with it is keep it in cooling ponds or stick it in a hole in Nevada.

If it is useful, why is it not used?

He said useful, not profitable. This is America.

GOP Congresscritter thinks increasing the minimum wage to $10 per hour would make a hamburger cost $20.

http://www.politicususa.com/2013/08/13/republican-congressman-miserably-fails-minimum-wage-math.html

The article goes on to say that at most the cost of a burger would go up 38% to $1.37. But that is too high since labor costs are only a portion of the cost of the burger. There is the cost of the ingredients, the costs of preparation aside from the labor (e.g. electricity), and the allocated fixed costs such as rent or real estate tax.

Realistically, the cost of a burger might go up 5 to 10%.

The piece says costs for employee turnover would decrease, but I really doubt that the extra couple of bucks an hour would prevent a college grad now working at McDonalds to forgo switching to a job in his or her field of study.

Cool, 20 dollar burgers. It could be a fad.

Yes, it’s always the darn workers’ fault. If only they’d stop asking for so much money, McDonald’s could really make a profit for once!

First it was Carl’s Jr.'s “Six Dollar Burger.” Now it’s McDonald’s “Twenty Dollar Burger.” Make the madness stop! :stuck_out_tongue:

What’s the point in eating a $20 hamburger unless you can eat it in front of someone who can’t afford one?

Man will do many things to get himself loved; he will do all things to get himself envied

  • Mark Twain

Sure, the burgers will be $20, but the turnovers will be cheaper.

Well played.

Rush Limbaugh says that anyone who believed in God could not believe in man-made climate change.

What’s the difference between Rush Limbaugh and the Hindenburg… Oh, never mind…

The inanimate object was smarter.

Only one was a symbol of the strength for the NAZI party?

[del]Harding[/del] [del]Hoover[/del] Limbaugh’s ideas were disproven long before 1937?

Nobody has yet lit up Limbaugh’s noxious fumes?
