Why don’t they just feed the spaghetti to the kids?
And I thought spaghetti dinners were for raising money for medical operations for cancer-stricken six-year-olds?

Cancer stricken six-year-olds gotta eat too. Pass the garlic bread.
Leave them to starve for long enough, I’m sure they’ll develop stomach cancer or some other fun malady.
And the best part? The stomach cancer fills up his stomach so the six year old doesn’t go hungry! You don’t have to waste anything for the stupid kid. More spaghetti for everyone else!
Dude, they eat napkins. Do try to keep up.
I’m pretty certain the answer has ‘hole’ in it somewhere.
Ah, Richard Shelby, Stupid Republican Sentaor from Alabama, is STILL placing a hold on three Obama appointees, a reduction from his blanket hold on ALL Obama appointees, because he isn’t getting his little porkbarrel projects approved. Nothing like a little blackmail in the Republicanbag of dirty tricks.
It’s not my problem, and it is certainly not the federal government’s responsibility.
Wow. THERE’S some Christian charity…
What, do you plan on dieing before you retire? Don’t you want an educated workforce to take care of you?
What happens if we were to go to war, and our conscripts did not get enough to eat as children? That’s why the DoD pushed for the school lunch program.
He lives in a special box inside a bubble, completely isolated from the rest of society. He relies on nobody for anything. His food is created by himself through a trans-dimensional tunnel.
ETA: Or he wants a free ride on someone else’s dime. One of those two.
Just answer the question, Crafter_Man. You think they should die of starvation.
Stop beating around the bush and just say it.
Oh, I think he’d be okay with their parents putting them down before it came to that.
Right. Agreed. I’m just astonished at how he has avoided, in every way, saying that he thinks appropriate public policy is to let poor kids die.
It’s this inability to confront the real life ramifications of their political preferences that annoy me about many conservatives.
Instead we get a thread in Great Debates called “Why the idea that fiscal conservatives hate poor people?” This is why.
I don’t know if he’s a conservative or not, but he’s mighty unpleasant. Personally I don’t see how mandating educating children does not fall squarely under promoting the general welfare as per spec, but I’m less unpleasant than him.
That’s legal? Fuck! Now you tell me!
Oh yeah! My aunt had triplets once, she had to put two of them in a sack and drown them in the crick.
It became legal in 1967, probably.
Adding to the list of stupid republican ideas and outright lies we have:
Newt Gingrich explaining Richard Reed(the shoe bomber) was different then Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab(the underpants bomber) because he was an American citizen.
Screw truth if the facts don’t fit there talking points they’ll make up history to justify it.
Well, he was English. It’s practically the 51st state.
I thought Canada was the 51st state? Must have been another liberal lie.
Actually, I think it’s just because they can’t quite grasp that other countries speak English. So anyone who speaks it as their primary language must be American.
He’s every bit as American as Stephen Hawking! So there!
