Stupid Republican idea of the day

I was going to say “every bit as American as Jesus”…

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/35322522#35322522 Here is Rachel Maddow talking about the Repubs bitching about the Tarp program and then trying to get credit for it in their districts. They tell their constituents what a great program it is and attend ribbon cutting ceremonies acting like it was their program. Then back to Washington telling the ESPn watchers what a horrible program it is and how it created no jobs. They are masters of hypocrisy and love the partisan politics they decry.

Obama cited polls during the GOP Retreat asskicking he issued them that showed that Americans were against the stim package, but supported everything in it when they were asked about each program individually.

No, what Gingrich meant by “he was an American citizen” is that he, Gingrich, is an American citizen.

As Daffy Duck would say, “Pronoun trouble.”

Newt Season!

Wichawd Weid Season!

She, of course, prefaced it by saying “I was thinking”. She continued on with more stupid.

(Duck Season!)

She does make it sound rather unappealing. Is she ever specific about the means used to take the one guy’s penis?

It is not about picking a place for you but for your kids. it is about people like you who think a kid should not be protected from states with poor educational systems. Don’t you care about the kids? Think about the children.

I take it she’s ok with lesbians then?

That video is private now, but here’s another link.

It ends with her saying:

She wishes.

Thanks.

The same poster has the full video up again, hopefully it will stay there.

There’s a website somewhere in the intertubes…

You’re thinking of Bobbitt, not Elliott.

At least the chair of that panel seems to recognize that basing legal challenges on something that someone’s fifth-grader may or may not have said is, shall we say, lacking in rigor. And that the woman is a fruit loop whose entire argument is basically this.

Virginia Republican introduces bill to ban human microchips, says they are the mark of the Antichrist:

Crackpot theology aside, why is this bill even necessary? Is there really any reason to fear that private companies currently have the power to force people to be implanted?

Or, can the word of the lord be thwarted by legislation?

It’s not just crackpottery, it’s stupid crackpottery.

I’m not a bible expert, but I think we should do THIS based on my understanding of the bible!

Besides, I thought these mythology-obsessed pricks wanted to do things to speed up the coming of the Antichrist so that they can hurry up and get Earth all destroyinated already?

It does seem like a lot of them aren’t looking forward to their own Rapture so much as they’re looking forward to seeing us heathens burning in Hell after suffering in the post-Rapture tribulation, doesn’t it?

Nah, that’d be un-Christian. If nothing else, you’re getting into a No True Christman fallacy.

-Joe

If he thinks it’s Biblical prophcy for people to get the mark of Beast, then how does it make sense to try to stop it? If he stops it, wouldn’t that mean that God was wrong? Why does he want to try to make God into a liar?

I’m with him on insurance companies being the Antichrist, but doesn’t that mean that Obama is therefore battling against the Antichrist? Shouldn’t all Christians want to help Obama battle the Antichrist? whose side are the Republicans on?

And it seems this bill only bans involuntary implantation, so if you’re a volunteer for the Antichrist your chip is ready and waiting.
