What if you’re convinced that the governor will be outdated or broken by next year?
California GOP creates fake health care website to discourage constituents from obtaining insurance
An underhanded anti-Obamacare stunt by the California GOP [updated]
Oh, he was rolled off the line with tremendous flaws in his OS. But the voters decided those weren’t bugs but features.
Nah.
Evil, not stupid.
Stupid in thinking it wouldn’t be noticed and publicized.
“Now kids, I know you’re upset now, but you have to look at the big picture. If we gave you presents, Scott Walker could lose, and then unions would go un-busted and you’d grow up in a world where government workers had pension plans. Is that any sort of world you want to live in?”
To be honest, i’m not sure why this qualifies as a stupid Republican idea.
I mean, as a lefty, i definitely think that Scott Walker is a stupid Republican, he’s awful for Wisconsin, and there’s no way i’d vote for him, but i don’t see anything particularly disturbing about the message itself.
All it’s asking people to do is consider spending a little bit of their discretionary income on a political campaign instead of on consumer crap. I don’t see a problem with that. Progressives were making a big deal back in 2008 about the significance of small donations to the Obama campaign, and in the absence of decent campaign finance reform, i think that encouraging campaign contributions by regular folks isn’t a bad thing.
Really stretching the point.
War on Christmas!
Taking money from retailers( small business, job creators!)
Saying it’s better to spend on him rather than your kids.
Pointing out that typical retail products are shoddy and won’t last the year.
When the pro-God, pro-family crowd puts out a message that says “spend your Christmas money on something Scott Walker wants, rather than something your kids want”, I think it qualifies for this thread.
Congratulations, Equipoise. Four years ago you were just a crazy kid with a keyboard and a dream. Today, 1,000,000 views. Take a bow.
Republican voters can do both. Only those too stupid or lazy to provide a comfortable income for their families have to choose between presents for the kids and political donations.
Comic Sans. Is there no abomination these people will not stoop down to ?
So true! You think they’ve hit rock bottom, but no. They can go lower.
Their “I’m Not Afraid to Say Merry Christmas” t-shirt is priced at a whopping $39.99. They may be low, but their prices are high.
Nothing grifts like a social conservative organization…
With a nod to **Squink **for posting the 2nd SRIOTD in post #23 (which–needless to say–came on the same day as the first Stupid Republican Idea). Without that post, this thread might have quickly fizzled after a discussion of Darrell Issa’s issues with the Michelle Obama.
If you’ve got a good memory, you might remember Ralph Hudgens, the Georgia Insurance Commissioner. Earlier this year, he made his views on Obamcare clear
Now it’s… well, it’s more of the same
And the need for the individual mandate starts to dawn on him …
While I am comfortable with the class for muslim girls being sponsored, I would also be comfortable with the YMCA not sponsoring the class if it was a burden on other YMCA members. Not sure how sharia law relates here, but then, I’m not a FauxNews fan.
Georgia is governed by a profoundly crooked group of idiots. The voters who elect them are dumber than they are. I love the state, but the people in it, they try me to the utmost sometimes.
