Stupid Republican idea of the day

Lesbians are gay right? So it’s fair to say RNC money has been poured into gay bondage clubs. No need to specify lesbians. I like the idea of just calling it a gay S&M club.

I would just like to point out that this thread has now existed on the first page of the Pit for over a year. And given the track record of today’s Republican Party, I don’t see it dying very soon.

Don’t you know that Republicans are the new gay?

Wrong, this amount was for only ONE lesbian bondage strip club. We haven’t seen the bills for the other lesbian bondage strip clubs, the gay men simulated anal sex stage shows, the gay men genuine anal sex floor shows, or the all gay dwarves tap dancing version of “Fudge Packin’ on the Sunset Strip”.

Really, they are all well worth the price, for research purposes alone.

It somehow alarms me that you know that…

I’m sure he’s making it up. Pretty sure.

I know! It’s almost as shocking as Ricky Martin coming out.

proud!

No doubt. Thanks to everyone who’s helped keep it alive, Republicans and informed, snarky Dopers alike.

I have my posts-per-page set at the maximum, so this thread is only on the 7th page. How many pages do most of you see?

3.61 x 10[SUP]14[/SUP]

27th page for me. [/off topic]

In other news, the GOP investigation into the Lesbian bondage-themed strip club expenditures reveals a non-stupid step.

Also, Nathan Deal appears to be in some hot water. Conflict of interest, baby. But Deal says, “This is a politically motivated witch hunt…I have done nothing wrong and am not going to let this tarnish my 30-year record of public service.” Haha, good luck with that.

Congratulations, you just put it up to 28.

P.S. Equipoise, I think the default is 50 posts per page.

I’m on page 7. You can change the settings to display up to 200 posts per page.

27, er, 28 pages? Wow.

No, Boyo Jim and I have ours set the same way, because I’m on page 7 too. I would have had to go look to see what the setting was, but I’ll go with his figure of 200 because it sounds right to me.

I know teabaggers are easy pickings. They’re so stupid that it’s like shooting fish in a bucket, but this is still amusing. Ari Rabin-Havt from Media Matters writes an interesting, and surprisingly non-snarky blog about attending a Tea Party, and starts it off with this gem from the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

That’s some truly unbelievably mind-boggling stupidity there.

This deserved a snort too:

Who gets to appoint the Senators? How would that work? Do they not want Senators at all, or what? This is the first I’ve heard of this particular asinine idea. The teabaggers are so confused they confuse me.

Presumably, if the 17th is repealed, it would devolve back to the state legislatures as Article One, Section 3 states:

The 17th Amendment:

Now, admittedly, I don’t understand how taking the right to vote for senators away is preserving freedom…

I think Equipoise is curious to know how reverting to this practice would “improve” things, from the POV of the Teabaggers.

Kinda curious my own self.

A year, huh? What’s the number one hit? Which stupid idea will have a warm place in your memory, out of the nameless horde of cognitive lemmings?

There was a thread about repealing the 17th amendment back in January.

The default is 40. 50 isn’t even an available option.

I’m on page 34.

Well I think they might be on to something were that the case. :stuck_out_tongue:
