Ah - Republicans and sex scandals. It’s just so natural that they even started sending out flyers with a sex hotline number on it.
A flyer sent out by the RNC accidentally printed their 202 number as an 800 number, which directs callers to “get ready for a new way to go live, one on one, with hot horny girls waiting right now to talk to you.”
Seems all these sex scandals are finally causing them to lose some of the Religious Right.
Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, wrote, "I’ve hinted at this before, but now I am saying it – don’t give money to the RNC … [was] “another indication [that the RNC is] completely tone-deaf to the values and concerns of a large number of people from whom they seek financial support.”
He does say it’s okay to still give money to individual candidates, but only if you’re sure they endorse your values.
The problem comes in with the fact that there’s no one person to tap him on the shoulder, hand him a cardboard box and escort him to the door flanked by two security. The RNC as an entity needs to hold a vote of no confidence by its board and it’s a fairly large board. To gather them together and campaign internally to convert enough people over to that vote’s probably more effort than it’s worth at this point, especially considering how close it is to the 2010 elections.
I assume Steele has some serious dirt on everyone in the party. At this point he must have a video of the entire RNC involved in a massive orgy, devouring live babies or something of that magnitude.
There is an incredible amount of leaked information for the purpose of making Steele look bad. People want him out but few are willing to say publicly. The need to keep him around to blame for any losses they suffer in November then they’ll pick a new scapegoat.
Because if they got competent leadership, it wouldn’t seem like a leadership problem any more, and they’d be forced to confront the fact that their problems are more existential in nature?
Is an RNC Chairman elected to a fixed term by their committee a la a public official or do they serve until they resign or are fired like a corporate CEO? In other words, is there an inevitable end in sight they can wait for?
Steele was elected – I think just after Obama’s election. I don’t know the term of office. You may remember there was some press about the other candidates – one of them sent out some kind of CD to other party members with the song Barack the Magic Negro. That made for one less candidate right there.
I don’t much care for their values.
Hmmmmm. Maybe I should get on the mailing list, so I will always know who’s running against their boy., and send money.
I think Grayson is making a mistake by playing the race card here. African-Americans are predominantly Democratic voters everywhere, not just in Lake County, so you could say any criticism of Democrats is really veiled racism.
