Stupid Republican idea of the day

Too late; I already dropped 3170 chicks in the mail.

Well now John Boehner seems to think financial reform will be a ‘government takeover of the entire private sector’

I for one can’t wait for the government to take over Walmart.

Wow! The most chicks I ever bought was (actual fact) 60,000 at (I think it was) 7 cents each. The boxes, 100 chicks to the box, nearly filled a semi trailer.

My last surgery would have cost about one semi, plus a good sized van. I might have gotten enough change to pack in a compact SUV.

Of course, you’d need to bring extra chicks to rent the semi truck and van.

Nah, I’d already paid for those in ducks and geese.

They were all out of magic beans?

I know they’re really nothing but empty suits parroting what Fox “News” tells them to say, but jesus fucking christ, it’s really just nothing but empty buzzwords with them.

You laugh now. When there’s a government take over of our government, where will you be then, huh?

Why do you hate America?

Republican Governors Association “embraces the symbolism” of Guy Fawkes, who tried to assassinate James I and blow up Parliament.

Oh, no, no advocacy of violence here, folks!

Lowden Plan Medical Chicken Calculator.

CMC fnord!

To be fair, Fawkes and his buddies failed rather thoroughly. So maybe the message they’re going for here is “we’ll try to overthrow Obama, bungle it up and look like complete morons in the process, thereby becoming a cautionary tails for generations to come, long after the details are completely forgotten”.

“… and get burned in effigy while everyone parties around us every year”

Remember, remember, the fifth of November,
The gunpowder treason and plot,
I know of no reason
Why the gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot.

Fireworks! Don’t forget the fireworks. And kids will be hanging out on street corners, with effigies obviously created by 10-year-olds, saying, “Penny for the Haley, mister?”

“a cautionary tails” ? WTH is wrong with me ?

Well, with all those fireworks going off, a cat does want to be cautious about his tail…

You can just give people the option of paying their medical bills with labor. Let’s say your SO needs a heart transplant for, say $200,000. 10 years of gardening, housekeeping or janitorial work should easily cover that. Problem solved!

Many people are already practically in serfdom, bound to their employer by the fear of losing their healthcare coverage. Why not bring back indentured servitude too…

I posted about this on another board. What, from the video and website, indicates Guy Fawkes? “Remember November” just says to me that they want ppl to remember this stuff in November. The author is bringing in Guy Fawkes from Ron Paul’s references. It’s a craptastic video with Carmina-Burana-esque music, and outrageous taglines after every “Yes we can”, but I don’t see the Fawkes.

The GOP apparently wants women (particularly Democratic women) to go back in the kitchen.

What’s next? Putting African-Americans back in the cotton fields? Get a grip, Republicans!

The ghost of John Calhoun is alive and well in the Minnesota state legislature, thanks to this new proposed law that would allow Minnesota to nullify any federal law by a 2/3rds vote. So what that it is blatantly unconstitutional? – sometimes we have to violate the constitution to show how much we love it.
