While this appears to be an appalling miscarriage of justice and definitely qualifies as a “stupid idea” on many counts, how on earth is it specifically “Republican”? I don’t see any indication in your link of the political affiliation of any of the parties involved.
Did you accidentally drop this on your way to the May Mini-rants thread, or what?
Apologies. I ran into an unexpected time crunch. I checked the judge’s bona fides before I posted, but neglected to type that he is, indeed, a Republican. Who is (as of today) running unopposed in November.
The guy also has (had?) an official Facebook page with a big Republican banner on it.
I saw it about an hour ago, but now it’s gone. I’m betting that the page took a deluge of negative comments, and got taken down as a defensive strategy.
And now, CNN refuses to promote the crazy, saying they will not be covering the Benghazi hearings gavel-to-gavel, and will only report on them if there is, like, news involved.
Wow, so the news organization that thinks random garbage floating in the sea is “breaking news” is refusing to cover Benghazi because it isn’t really fucking news.
Good for CNN. But really, if you can’t meet the low standards of CNN as to what qualifies as news, Fox and the Repubs might seriously want to rethink their world view.
Rape is a figment of liberal culture! Of COURSE! And if rape is a figment of liberal culture, then WE DON’T HAVE TO PERMIT ABORTIONS FOR RAPE VICTIMS BECAUSE THEY ALL REALLY CONSENTED AND JUST DON’T REALIZE IT!!!
I think their core problem is that they think of women more as something created by Jesus to entertain men and crap out babies than as equals. Why should there be laws against how you treat your toys?
