Republican National Committeewoman Tamara Scott on the migrant kids:

“When we see these kids, you and I think young kids, we think maybe 12-year-olds, maybe homeschoolers — excuse me, middle-schoolers,” said Scott, who is also Concerned Women for American’s Iowa state director and works as a lobbyist for the conservative group The Family Leader. “But we know back in our revolution, we had 12-year-olds fighting in our revolution. And for many of these kids, depending on where they’re coming from, they could be coming from other countries and be highly trained as warriors who will meet up with their group here and actually rise up against us as Americans.”

Mary Huls, leader of a Texas-based Tea Party group, agreed, warning that the children could have been trained in Venezuela to work for Hezbollah or Hamas (never mind that most of the children are from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador). “They are being trained as warriors, you’re absolutely right,” she said.

First, she condemned the media for their coverage of Brown’s death and the ensuing protests. “You sell magazines,” she said, “by blowing up what is, in their minds, a white on black incident.” We don’t want to argue, Andrea, but isn’t that technically what it was?

Tantaros then turned her attention to Attorney General Eric Holder who has been an active participant in the federal investigation regarding Brown’s death. “The DOJ is pushing this entire thing,” Tantaros argued. “Eric Holder is one of the biggest race-baiters in the entire country. He runs that DOJ like the Black Panthers would.”

So… This Republican leader seems to think that Hamas is somehow getting ahold of Guatemalan children, sending them to Venezuela for terrorist training, and then shipping them to the United States, where they will do their terrorist thing at some point.

It’s just a short step from here to imagining that space aliens are implanting homing devices in the brains of your neighbors, and heading next door with a butcher knife to remove them.

You know, if someone on the street corner was blatting on about anything insane like this, they would likely be recommended for a short stay in a safe place in a locked ward. It is quite literally insane.

It shows a complete break with reality. I’m just baffled at how an obvious mentally ill person could remain in any position of authority.

Gov. Chris Christie’s administration openly acknowledged that more New Jersey taxpayer dollars were going to land in the coffers of major financial institutions. It was 2010, and Christie had just installed a longtime private equity executive, Robert Grady, to manage the state’s pension money. Grady promoted a plan to put more of those funds into riskier investments managed by Wall Street firms. Though this would entail higher fees, Grady said the strategy would “maximize returns while appropriately managing risk.”

Four years later, New Jersey has secured only half the promised results. The state has sent more pension money to big-name Wall Street firms like Blackstone, Third Point, Omega Advisors, Elliott Associates and Grady’s old firm, The Carlyle Group. Additionally, the amount of fees the state pays financial managers has more than tripled since Christie assumed office. New Jersey is now one of America’s largest investors in hedge funds.

The “maximized returns” have yet to materialize…

Oh my. The NRSC has released a video game that is a bad knockoff of Mario (the protagonist is an elephant named Giopi.). In it, you have to avoid the “Taxers” and “Mudslingers” and when you win all four le3vels, you get a Republican majority in the Senate.
