If you go to the User CP, click Edit Options, and scroll down the page a bit, you’ll find an option to change your display to 200 posts per page. The thread’s only 87 pages long, then. Perfectly manageable.
You have NO idea. Or maybe you do. To be fair, it has taken several years to reach this length.
Yeah, we went over that about a year ago. And there are also multiple threads dealing with the teapublicans yearning to repeal it.
Followup, complete with a nonpology from the Republican candidate:
Wow, this guy actually has the gall to imply that the dirty trick itself and Fisher’s complaint about it are just equivalent sides of the “negative campaign tactics” coin.
Well up until now the Republicans were all about 1) Saying No to Obama, 2) Voting to repealing Obamacare for the 50th time, and 3) Kowtowing to wealthy fat cats.
Under the new brand they are in favor of 1) Bowing to fat wealthy cats, 2) Saying Nay to Obama and 3) Voting to repeal Obamacare for the 55th time.
*0. Our Constitution should be preserved, valued and honored. <yammer, yammer> …states rights… <yammer, yammer, yammer> That guides our thinking on every issue.
Economy: Start growing America’s economy instead of Washington’s economy so that working Americans see better wages and more opportunity.
Budget/Debt: Pass a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution, make government more efficient, and leave the next generation with opportunity, not debt.
Healthcare: We need to start over with real healthcare reform that puts patients and their doctors in charge, not unelected bureaucrats in Washington.
Veterans: No veteran should have to wait in line for months or years just to see a doctor.
Security: A strong military, growing the economy, energy independence, and secure borders.
Education: Every child should have an equal opportunity to get a great education; no parent should be forced to send their child to a failing schools.
Poverty: Focus should be on getting people out of poverty by lifting up all people and helping them find work.
Values: Value the traditions of family, life, religious liberty, and hard work.
Energy: Make America energy independent by encouraging investment in domestic energy, lowering prices, and creating jobs at home.
Immigration: An immigration system that secures America’s borders, upholds the law, and boosts the economy.*
*Lather was 30 years old today
And lather came foam from his tongue
He looked at me eyes wide to plainly say
“Is it true I’m no longer young?”
Wow it amazing what you can get candidates to agree to if they want a 100% purity rate from your organization. It makes me want to start “Citizens for American Justice” just so I can make them agree to such things as
Would you support a program to deter illegal immigrants by using them as a protein source in school lunches?
Do you support the citizen gun owner’s legal right to use deadly force against anyone who in their opinion “needed killin”?
Would you support eliminating the deficit by auctioning off the children of welfare recipients to job creators?
Along with all the other stupid cited in your cite, this sounds perilously close to a Bill of Attainder, which has been considered a legal no-no for, oh, several hundred years.
David Perdue, running for the Senate from Georgia, is claiming that his opponent, Michelle Nunn, is “associated with terrorists” because one of the many organizations helped by the organization she used to work for. Because the one organization has “Islamic” in the title. Points of Light, the organization Nunn worked for, was founded by George H W Bush and is run by his son, Neil.
It might easily work. You have to remember, in a 2002 Georgia Senate race Saxby Chambless defeated Max Cleland, holder of a Silver Star for gallantry in action who lost three limbs in Vietnam, by running an ad challenging Cleland’s patriotism. You simply cannot overestimate the stupidity of Georgia voters. And I say this as a native Georgian.
That guy is either seriously mentally ill or a gigantic troll. He says stuff like that all the time. The fact that he once was the head of the GOP in South Carolina is the reason this thread exists in the first place.
also,Sheriff Blakely referred to the EFF … as an “Ultra-liberal organization that is not in any way credible on this. They’re more interested in protecting predators and pedophiles than in protecting our children.”
