Stupid Republican idea of the day

The only reason I see any Republican reaching across the table is to slap someone for daring to disagree with him.

John Fugelsang said it better than I could…

I guess if it was part of a successful strategy, it wasn’t really stupid.
dammit

Oh, yeah, about that . . .

They’re already bringing out the impeachment crap. And threats to charge members of the Administration with treason.

I’m kind of hoping they do. Constantly and obstinately.

If it weren’t for the Supreme Court and the environment, it could be more entertaining.

That is going to be a continuing headache for Mitch McConnell: how throw a rope around Ted Cruz and the other certifiables who smell blood in the water. McConnell already drew a line in the sand, vowing there would be no government shutdowns or debt ceiling showdowns. Cruz is not one to take fuck you for an answer, however. Could be entertaining to watch the GOP come apart right in the middle of the 2016 campaign.

Sir, I don’t think you need a press conference to announce to the nation that you have a man date.

As Jon Stewart reported, the mountain of stupid coming from Republican congresscritters continues and it got bigger.

Please god let them do this. I mean, it worked so well for the Gingrich Congress.

No kidding. Let them fly their flag high for the next two years and let everybody know just how far they are willing to go to gut this country. Impeachment and treason trials would be wonderful.

Of course, a treason trial requires an indictment first, and Congress can’t do that, it’s all on the executive branch.

And this just in, from our good friends at Daily Kos…

Intensive anti-voter-fraud effort finds no instance of actual voter fraud

Money quote.

Nice work, guys! Thanks for the help!

That link didn’t work for me, but here’s a fixed link.

So does that make Democrat Voter Fraud™ an unknown known, a known unknown, or an unknown unknown?

I expect to see something along the lies of ’ well the strict new laws for voter disenfranchisement , errr we mean, voter registration laws, must have worked because we could not find any evidence of voter fraud this time around, and therefore in the past there was voter fraud and as the republicans won this time, that means in the past when the democrats won they must have been the beneficiary of voter fraud,

Figures.
Although I just told my wife this, and she said, “What did you expect? How could there be voter fraud if hardly anyone voted at all?”

She has a point. :frowning:

Bear in mind, though, that according to the 'net book of lies, turnout was even lower in '06 when the Democrats rode a wave of anger and frustration into power. Lower turnout yields greater extremism.

But really, Joni Ernst? Fuck, that is sad.

I … don’t … know …

I don’t know anything for certain, and I’m not even sure about that. But Joni Ernst is Michelle Bachman with a gun. What can possibly go right?
