I heard a lot of “reach across the table” talk from Republican victory speeches yesterday. Lets see if they can actually do it.

The only reason I see any Republican reaching across the table is to slap someone for daring to disagree with him.

That is going to be a continuing headache for Mitch McConnell: how throw a rope around Ted Cruz and the other certifiables who smell blood in the water. McConnell already drew a line in the sand, vowing there would be no government shutdowns or debt ceiling showdowns. Cruz is not one to take fuck you for an answer, however. Could be entertaining to watch the GOP come apart right in the middle of the 2016 campaign.

But does she mean we should address the cause of global warming? Hard to say, since she’s apparently not so sure what the cause is — or whether mankind is to blame. She mentioned a volcano she had heard about in Iceland.

“The emissions that are being put in the air by that volcano are a thousand years’ worth of emissions that would come from all of the vehicles, all of the manufacturing in Europe,” she said.

Of course, a treason trial requires an indictment first, and Congress can’t do that, it’s all on the executive branch.

A week before Election Day, the “voter integrity” group True the Vote released a new smart phone app to empower its army of citizen detectives to report suspected incidents of voter fraud and intimidation across the country, in the hopes of creating, as True the Vote’s founder Catherine Engelbrecht put in an interview on Monday, “an archive that will finally pull the curtain back on the myth that there is no voter fraud.”

But it seems that the evidence of massive voter fraud that Engelbrecht hoped to expose failed to materialize. In the week that the app was available, users recorded only 18 incidents of election irregularities, the vast majority of which had nothing to do with True the Vote’s policy priorities.

I expect to see something along the lies of ’ well the strict new laws for voter disenfranchisement , errr we mean, voter registration laws, must have worked because we could not find any evidence of voter fraud this time around, and therefore in the past there was voter fraud and as the republicans won this time, that means in the past when the democrats won they must have been the beneficiary of voter fraud,

Bear in mind, though, that according to the 'net book of lies, turnout was even lower in '06 when the Democrats rode a wave of anger and frustration into power. Lower turnout yields greater extremism.
