I have to add John McCain calling anti-Kissinger protesters “scum”. He’s one of my favorite politicians ever, but his moral dudgeon is often severely misplaced. John McCain knows what scum is. He was imprisoned and tortured by scum. He’s met with some of the scummiest world leaders in existence as a Senator. Code Pink protesters may be inappropriate, but they have a legitimate beef with Kissinger, this country’s greatest practitioner of cold realpolitik.
