Stupid Republican idea of the day

This stuff that Jeb Bush dumped is in the public record?

Is it fair to dislike Obamacare because it’s not sufficiently like single-payer?

Serial vote suppressor Kris Kobach claims that he reported cases of voter fraud to the US Attorney for Kansas but the US Attorney did nothing. He has now been shown to be a baldfaced liar.

I kind of see the “dislike” in the two cases as qualitatively different. I can understand and agree with not liking Obamacare because it doesn’t go FAR ENOUGH. That’s the standard left-wing criticism of it.

The standard right-wing criticism of it involves abolishing it and basically going back to the healthcare system as it was pre-ACA, which is not thoughtfully critical. It’s insane and criminally heartless.

I saw this story this morning in the Wall Street Journal of all places and thought of starting a thread on it’s own. The first plaintiff you mentioned gave her address as a $200 a week motel on the Interstate in Virginia, and the people who work there says she hasn’t been there in ages. Her Facebook page has a ton of posts about Obama the “Anti-Christ” and how his Muslim people got him elected.

Republicans, even the smart ones, are so deep in the echo chamber that they think that what gets a pass on Fox News or talk radio is good enough for the Supreme Court. They just don’t get that over half the country lives in a reality based world, and that the barest of rational thought should be applied when venturing out of said chamber.

It took eight years before they finally came to the conclusion that Sarah Palin really is an incompetent moron.

These people are unbelievable.

P.S. The Wall Street Journal seems to finally be coming to it’s senses about the current state of the Republican Party. There have been a couple of articles and even Op-Eds criticizing them recently.

Only some of them. John McCain still stands by her.

Evidently, he thinks it’s a virtue to never admit you’re wrong. I think it’s a sign that even if he hadn’t chosen her, the US dodged a 16-inch shell by electing Obama. I wonder how many wars we would be in today if McCain had won?

Jeb Bush’s new IT guy resigned today after it was reported that he made tweets about how there is no such thing as a black community or black leaders, and Martin Luther King was anti-affirmative action and didn’t shuck and jive or talk jibberish like other blacks do.

The thing that surprised me the most about his posts is that he attacked the Pledge of Allegiance as being the opposite of what the Tea Party stands for.

How about some stupid libertarian ideas? There’s enough overlap.

Not vaccinating your kids because you own them is nothing. You should also be able to starve your children to death and we should do away with child labor laws because, among other things, it artificially raises adults’ wages.

I love how the guy’s awful blog was unearthed by Huffington Post writers using The Wayback Machine, a technology so advanced and mysterious that not even the impressively tech savvy Jeb Bush could have foreseen its use as a political tool.

Can we starve him to death retroactively ? He’s outcompeting very young children for stupid, sociopathic notions.

And that’s not all. (Same guy, right?)

See Vulgar libertarianism.

That’s a much better objection. I’ll have to think about that.

shrug Florida has a very broad public records law. If you don’t want your personal information in the public record, you shouldn’t send it to state employees. There’s a very prominent disclaimer on every state agency’s website.

Admitting you were wrong is almost like apologizing, and we all know how Republicans feel about that.

They only do it to Rush Limbaugh?

Which will mean nothing to the idiots who keep voting him in. I’m so ashamed to be from KS lately…

Scott Walker called out (by a teacher) for lying (about school-related matters) at the Iowa Freedom Summit.

Hmmm… Lying about easily verifiable facts? Where have I seen this before, and by whom? There are advantages to courting the moron vote - you’ll never get challenged by them in any way. They just eat it all up.

It’s one thing to lie about stuff like this that affects your moron constituency not one bit, but they went and tanked the economy of the state as well in a grand experiment of radical right-wing ideas. That’s a little harder to explain, even to morons.

Conservatives smear slain ISIS hostage for work with Palestinians.

 "So-called ‘West Bank’"?!

All of them.
