Well, if their budgetary positions are any clue, math isn’t their strong suit.
The other 25% are Republican.

" . . . the most average, everyday Americans you have ever met” who have been “driven off their easy chair, driven away from their TV and into the streets of America to demonstrate against their own government.”
Driven off their easy chair and driven away from their TV? Is he trying to paint a picture of the average American as a drooling, lumpen moron? Not that I disagree in describing the majority of Teabaggers as such, but it seems to be harming his goal instead of supporting it.

It’s as if the mere fact that they’ve been driven to protest somehow validates their position. “They wouldn’t have gotten off their fat asses if there wasn’t a real threat!”
So…“Twilight” movie openings are…like, a bigger threat?

Bosstone:
Yes. Yes they are.
Good to know.
So, can someone explain to my why CongressNut CrazyEyes wants video Skype in the chamber? It’s so teabaggers can talk directly with their congressbaggers.
Is there any substance or logic to it, or was it “buzzword (from a couple years ago) + populism (faux) = Teabagger Fodder”?

“I would like to preserve what we have before it gets totally out of control,” Murdough, a 30-year-old father of two young boys, said last week. “The more it becomes non-white, the more it’s going to become a much different place to live, for white people especially.”

I wonder if he thinks they’re all sitting there with a gun propped in the corner and a Bible on the coffee table.
Because Lord knows, Ralph Watson, the one black person who lives in New Hampshire, is causing all sorts of social upheaval.

Coincidentally, he is also the only Republican.
A Tennessee congressman suggested Friday that states might have to “consider separation from this government” if the federal government does not change its approach.
…
“I hope that the American people will go to the ballot box in 2010 and 2012 so that states are not forced to consider separation from this government,” he said.
“States are tired of being run over” by federal mandates, Wamp said, and praised Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R), who raised the topic of secession in 2009 after an anti-tax “tea party” rally.
Ever notice that Republicans who talk about secession are patriots, but if a Democrat was to suggest such a thing he would be denounced as a traitor?

Democrats are traitors by definition. The only true Americans are Republicans.

Democrats are called traitors for much, much, less. Like not being for a questionable war, for example.

Can we just let them go this time? Let us know how that works out for ya’.
I for one am not willing to give up the Jack Daniels distillery. I would rather destroy it than let it fall into newly foreign hands.
Tennessee Republican Zach Wamp is backing off from his comments on secession.
“‘Of course we will not secede from the union,’ Wamp told reporters at a campaign stop in Franklin, Tennessee over the weekend, according to the Associated Press. ‘But we will also not have a governor who will cave in to Barack Obama.’”
Of course he doesn’t hate America … just its president … which was treason 3 years ago. Oh well, living constitution and all that.
He did not specifically address the possibility of a governor who will roll over when he sees Obama and call him Daddy, so maybe there’s room for compromise.
