I haven’t tried a Dopefest for a long time. The first and only one I attempted was a St. Valentine’s Day Massacre theme party in 2001. It failed bigtime. It was February, right? The weather was rotten. One person showed up. I think it was True Pisces. He was very gracious and we ended up having all of those drinks and snacks to ourselves. He crashed overnight on my floor and the next evening we went to dinner in Fell’s point. Fun, but more people would’ve been good too.
So, okay, I’m going to try again. I’d like to have a Summertime Mini-Dopefest at my place on Saturday July 21, starting round 7pm. Anyone who wants to come is welcome. I live in the Baltimore metro area. Come and enjoy! If you get too looped to drive I have space for people to crash on the floor, of course, and the promise of brekky and/or lunch the next day. Just bring yourselves and come as you are. I’ll have food and drinks, alcoholic and non. Also… I don’t mean to sound crabby, but I ask that with all respect that you don’t come with kids. My place is small and not really much fun for kids… no TV, no playroom, no computer they can mess with. Also, for those of you with alleriges, there are no pets and the place is cleaned once a week, so that shouldn’t be a problem.

If nobody wants to come that’s okay too; I just thought it might be fun. I promise I won’t make anybody tell a ghost story or wear a goofy hat!
