Super Bowl XLIV: Indianapolis Colts v. New Orleans Saints (2/7/2010)

Nice, nice onside kick!

I’ve heard that surprise onside kicks, as opposed to predictable ones, have a much higher recovery rate. A cool tactic.

I think that’s the longest I’ve ever seen it take to separate a fumble scrum.

If the Saints score a TD on this drive, I’d have to say that the Colts will have some work to do to shift the momentum.

I agree. That was pure mayhem. I’m shocked no fingers were lost. Good job by the referees to not throw any flags.

It’s not who gets it first in those scrims, it’s who gets it last.

TD!!!

Onside kick again? :stuck_out_tongue:

One of the best drives I’ve ever seen, from start to finish. It begins with a surprise onside kick and retains momentum, ending in a great run.

Very nice

Thomas scores! Extra point good.

NO 13 - Indi 10

As I thought. A first as an onside kick.

It’s cool to see a coach who makes decisions based on what has the best chance to succeed, as opposed to making decisions just to avoid being second-guessed.

Oh, and as for The Who, that was awful. Pete Townshend obviously wasn’t really playing the guitar most of the time. Ca’t they book a CURRENT act, or are they already booking The White Stripes for Super Bowl LXXX?

Damn, It’s not like Addai and Thomas are Barry Sanders and Jim Brown. Apparently being able to tackle as a team is no longer necessary to go to the Superbowl. Pathetic on both sides.

Saints gonna give up a TD right away.

The skills which produce turnovers by stripping the ball are not the same that produce sure tackles. The Saints focus on turnovers, not tackling.

Naw, a current act might actually do something edgy*, rather than just singing about being edgy 50 years ago.

*like a wardrobe malfunction

Oh well.

NO 14 - Indiana 17

Great response by the Colts for that last incredible NO drive.

They can’t book a current act, because they’ll show their goodies on national TV.

Addai or Clark? Which is MVP?
…or Bush? Hartley?

Announcer : “They are looking for a home run”
