Supernatural 9/18

I love the nerdy references, like for example when Dean asks for “Wedge Antilles”

(Wedge Antilles is Luke’s fellow pilot in the Death Star attack).

Mostly those are the reasons why i watch the show.

Fair enough–I disagree, but everyone’s MMV. shakes hands (Me, I’m just glad there are other fans to talk to on the SDMB!)

I agree. Biblical angels are NOT warm and fuzzy. They may be ‘good’, but they’re not nice.

Angels on earth signals the apocalypse. :smack:

Me too! Just looking up pictures of Dean and Sam on the internet all by my lonesome is, well, it’s kind of awesome, but I like to talk about the show, too.

ouryL - I think that was kind of the point.

(Sam and Dean’s aliases are also part of why we watch the show. I’ve only seen them get busted on it once, in the first season - Dean called himself by a famous rock guy’s name, and the guy he was talking to recognized the name.)

But when will the credit card fraud catch up with them?

I’m worried that it’s still on the table. Can we skip this all together, do you think? I’d hate for it to later turn out to be the case given Anne Rice already did a novel using that plot. (Lestat, I’m not evil, I’m doing God’s work. You should help me with this noble plan. Psych! I’m really the devil. I had you going, didn’t I? Sucks that you’re even more damned now, though.)

I’m hoping in the very last episode, they’ll defeat the forces of evil, only to turn around and see the FBI standing behind them…

“Hey boys, turns out the rumors of your death have been greatly exaggerated, huh?”

“But officers, we didn’t kill all those people!”

“We know. Sam and Dean Winchester, you’re under arrest for identity theft and fraud.”

Actually, Cassiel is the Angel of Saturdays.

I’ve got the conjurations, too; if you’re interested…

(SUPERNATURAL is currently my favorite show on television, but due to tv woes, I’ve missed a lot of Season 3, and will probably miss most of Season 4 unless my digital converter box re-energizes my vcr.)

This website agrees with you about Cassiel, but adds that Castiel is an angel of Thursday. Since it’s a meta-joke based on folklore, I’m sticking with the interpretation that’s clearly just supposed to be funny.
