Survivor 12/11/08

Reminder: Survivor: Gabon’s finale is Sunday! I’m assuming this means a final three instead of a final two.

Anyway, Kenny’s pissed about Bob and Corinne’s deception. I’m hoping Kenny and Crystal forget about it and join Bob against Sugar, Suzie, and Matty. As much as I don’t like Crystal, I like Kenny and Bob.

Matty seems to believe he’s doomed.

Really? You like Kenny? I think he’s a little prick. Go Bob!

That immunity challenge was evil.

Goodbye Crystal.

I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed a player as much as I enjoy Sugar.

She is fucking awesome!!!

Good, now I will be happy with whoever wins, since I really doubt that Susie will win.

Once again, I feel compelled to say

BEST SEASON EVER.

My daughter thinks I am crazy, as I was inspired to do a happy dance tonight.

I’ve gone from liking Kenny a lot to really hating him now. He’s kinda gone mad with power over the last few weeks, always talking to the camera about how he’s totally in control of the game. It was nice to see him knocked down a rung at TC last week.

Today–when he was trying to convince Bob that he felt in danger of being voted off? Worst. Acting. Ever.

Sugar continues to be made of awesome. I don’t think she is a mastermind with any kind of endgame strategy–though she is certainly not stupid at all. I think she really is just playing an intuitive game and she really does want “the good guys” to win. (Of course, Corrinne thought that, too :p).

That was brilliant. Sugar wears the HII to Tribal Council, so everyone is assuming that SHE is going to play it. She kept both herself and Matty safe tonight with one HII. Once everyone votes, she hands the HII to Matty, with her dramatic little “Matty, take this curs-ed thing away!” And any votes for Matty (which could very well have been 3-3, Matty/Crystal, because who the hell knows what Suze’s thinking of doing at any given moment?) are disqualified. Bye-bye, Crystal!

Beautiful…

Crystal is such a challenge monster. 6’3" tall and cannot dunk a nerfball on a 6 ft basket.

Probst: Crystal is not even on the course

of course Suze was wondering around like a sleep walking Frankenstein.

I loves me some Sugar. Seriously, am developing a crush on her. Loved her silently mouthed comment to Matty: “Let me do the thinking.” I was telling my wife that she made a serious blunder by doing this switch (she, Crystal and Kenny could’ve waltzed to the final three I think, and she’d have a 50/50 chance of winning), but now I think she’s in even a stronger position. She has not made a single mistake the whole time.

My wife and I were busting out laughing at this challenge. Great comedy.

Wow, that was just a masterful piece of Survivor-playing. Go Sugar! Go Bob!

Matty could win some physical challenges. She may have made a mistake .Immunity gives him a shot to go all the way. I hope they take Ken out real soon.

Bob did not help himself by holding the idol after admiting he promised it to the self-described rat. I hope it does not come back to haunt him.

If Matty went and then Bob got immunity, Sugar probably would have gone next.

He said he would give it up if he felt Kenny would go home. Kenny didn’t go home. The only thing that giving up the idol would have done would be to send Bob home. The only person I can see being mad about it would be Crystal or Kenny.

Actually, if my memory is working right, Bob edited that original “I’ll give it to you” conversation on the fly, twice. He definitely told Ken that he’d give him the necklace if he won it, no ands, ifs or buts. But at the reward, he and Ken renegotiated it to he’d give it to Ken if Ken asked. Then at TC, he reported it as “If I think you’re in danger, I’ll give you the necklace.”

No he played that perfectly. He said at Tribal (and what the jury heard) was that he’d give the idol to Kenny if he felt Kenny would be voted out. (And Kenny did not bring up any objection to this in front of the jury.) Since he didn’t give Kenny the necklace & Kenny was not voted out, he never went against his promise.

That was one of the best Tribal Councils ever! I wasn’t a fan of Sugar at first, but now I am really liking her. I hope either Sugar or Bob wins the whole thing.

Sugar is excellent. I totally didn’t see that coming.

I’m not sure anyone did. There was that big pause when Jeff asked for the idol and I’m sitting there going “Why are they trying to build up suspense? We know Sugar is gonna play it.”

Kenny and Crystal never even saw that as a possibility.

I wanted to punch Corrine every time they showed her pumping her fist. You just know the jury’s been sitting around in sequesterville, talking about how much they hate everyone. Lovely, lovely people.

Sugar’s giving that idol to Matty, and the way she did it, was inspired. She is pretty awesome!
