Do we do final 2 or final 3 these days?
We’re going into the finale with 5, so it will probably be a final three. Unless they do a tribal where two people get voted out.
Survivor rule #2: If you ever talk to the camera and boast that you’re in total control, you will crash and burn.
I can’t believe no one has mentioned Bob’s slip up during the TC. He said that he didn’t make Sugar’s HII. The camera cut to Randy’s shocked expression. Remember, he didn’t know that Bob intentionally set him up with a fake idol. He might have thought it at least plausible that Bob didn’t know the idol was fake. Bob revealed to the jury that he made the idol (and therefore new it was fake).
I think that was a big mistake on Bob’s part.
Actually, I think that by this point Corinne has already told the jury about the fake idol Bob gave her, so they probably know.
Kenny is toast unless he wins immunity at the next IC. He’s gone from being “in control” to being all alone in this game–I love it!
And Sugar giving the idol to Matty was the final insult to the Kenny/Crystal alliance. One of the best TC’s ever!
An earlier post called Susie a “coattail-rider”. That may be, but not as bad as Crystal. Without Kenny, she would have been gone weeks ago. Does anyone know exactly what she won her Olympic medal for? 'Cause I see no physical prowess in her whatsoever!
I think Bob is going to win. Matty doesn’t have a whole lot of friends on the jury, and I don’t see this group handing a million bucks to Sugar. She will, however, take the $100,000 “audience vote” prize.
Her CBS bio says 4 x 400 relay. Since I have never been an athlete at that level any snark would be wrong.
She was one of the “second string” 4x400m teammates, not one of the top four (4) runners. She ran in the USA qualifying semi-final heat. Deeper relay teams often rest the “first string” through the qualifying heats. Everyone that ran the qualifying heats for the winning team receives a gold medal.
It is still a notable acheivement and I don’t want to insinuate that her accomplishment is any less noteworthy.

One thing I’ve never understood about the players on Survivor is their propensity for being assholes to the people they think have no chance of winning. The arrogance almost always comes back on them, but it happens every season. When you know you are on top, that’s the perfect time to be magnanimous. In this case, if Crystal had just been nice to Matty, she’d still be in the game. Why is that so hard to do?
Crystal said she was trying to get Matty’s bad side to come out so everyone would see what a jerk she knew he was. It was about as ill-conceived a plan as you could come up with, and it backfired spectacularly.
I was so glad to see Crystal go, and I can’t wait to see Kenny go (hopefully) next.
Bob & Sugar all the way.
Yeah, the baddest side of Matty was telling Sugar that she was part of the “Evil Three,” which caused her to abandon them.
What a great episode. And I would be happy with anyone left who has a chance (let’s face it, Suze is window dressing at this point) winning the whole thing.
You really think so? I’ve just been assuming Bob is a lock for the phone-in vote money.
Thanks for reminding me to vote for this. I gave half my votes to her, the other half to Bob.
Sugar has been awesome throughout this entire season. She is incredibly sharp, and her fluid strategy has paid off well. Kenny likes to claim he’s a strategic mastermind, but he seems to think he’s playing with chess pieces instead of people sometimes.
A win from Sugar would be great and completely deserved.
I’m also feeling the disdain for Kenny…and don’t know how he survived this episode. Why was Crystal targeted over him? Kenny might still have a chance at winning the jury vote; Crystal never would have stood a chance.
I assume it was so that Bob could kinda “keep his word” to Kenny regarding the immunity idol. He modified it a bit, but basically he promised Kenny that he would give him the idol if he were in danger of being voted out. By getting his allies to target Crystal, he was able to keep immunity and keep his promise. I’m sure Kenny still feels betrayed, so it may not make much difference to him, but it could make a big difference in the eyes of the rest of the jury–between Bob being a weasel and Bob playing a crafty game.
Supposedly Sugar just got married to a guy she only knew for eleven days. Or so they’re saying over on the Sucks board. Lucky guy, but I wonder what that’s all about. Maybe they’ll shed some light on this during the reunion show.
I just can’t understand how that woman was an Olympic champion when she has been just about the most useless in every challenge.
