Survivor 12-11; Winding down

But, according to the challenge rundown on the official site, the car was never a reward challenge prize. Did they give it away with the $1,000,000?

Yep, the car was part of the grand prize. When they filmed the “driving the car away” scene, they filmed it with each of the final four (Richard, Kelly, Rudy, and Susan) so that nobody could figure out who won by who got the suv. The first one was the only one where the votes were tallied on the island, and everyone knew who won before the announcement show.

I was relieved to see the granny-panties. What, you want to see Lil in a thong?

Well, seeing as how my great-grandmother REALLY died that Tuesday (two days before That Episode aired), I’m sort of taking it personally. Ya know?

I can’t wait to see what happens Sunday. This oughtta be goooood.

The hell with the actual show … I’m dying to watch the Reunion Show. I can’t wait to see the reactions to the Dead Grandmother Lie, and Sandra’s bit with the fish, where everyone accused Christa of dumping them.

Any word on whether or not Osten is coming? Did his leaving consititute actually “quitting”? If so, I assume he doesn’t get his stipend, and he won’t be on the Reunion Show?
Was he ever on The Early Show?

"Stuuuupid…fat…Burton!

As others have said, I knew one of the guys was going as soon as Burton picked Jon to go with him. How could you violate a key rule of Survivor: Never flaunt a 2-man alliance, especially when 3 or more other players are still around.

Darrah is playing just great. 3 IMs in a row. What a stud! Of course, that makes her vulnerable, too. She better win the next one or Jon might be able to convince one of the other women to get rid of her.

I can’t wait to hear the post-TC discussion at the beginning of Sunday’s show. I’m wondering, though, if Jon is smart enough to pull his best trump card: “Take me to the end since no one on the jury will vote for me”.

BTW, did anyone else think the jury violated the “no communication” rule when the visibly showed their approval of Burton’s getting ousted? I guess there’s nothing Burnett can do after the fact.

I don’t know. I think we’re seeing a much worse Jon than they are. And remember: Jon is playing up the “dead Gramma” card. I know I’d be afraid some sap would throw him a vote out of sympathy.

Hopefully Rupert is smart enough to be telling the other jurors that the dead grandma bit may not be true. Of course he doesn’t know for sure, but I think he’s less gullible than the others and he does not like Jon (or Burton).

Is it just me, or was that immunity challenge slanted way in Darrah’s favor? I mea, she hardly had to put any water in the pipe, and she could get the key, where Burton had to get it all the way full.

Not like it mattered though, either way, Burton or Jon would be gone.
