Ok, I had completely forgotten about Amanda’s use of the idol. But still, as you say, it’s not an ultimate get out of jail free card, which was my main question: Why do the players keep talking about how having the hidden idol makes the person so powerful? I think it does no such thing, because so many things have to come together in just the right way in order for anyone to make use of it.
It’s not “the ultimate” power – but always, having immunity is better than not having immunity.
And just so everybody knows (realizing I am probably the only one that didn’t):
The last show of the season of Thursday and the Finale is on Sunday. I learned this scanning my DVR settings.
Also, thanks for the information about the FHII singular1, way to take one for the team.
I was responding to the fact that no one has tried to flush Sugar’s HII out. If Sugar’s HII was flushed out, it would be put back into play, and presumably someone else might find it on exile island. As long as Sugar has it, no one else can find it.
Except they haven’t been sending people to Exile Island lately. I think that’s been over since the merge, hasn’t it?
Bob was sent to exile island in the Randy boot episode, Ken sent him there during the food auction.
So I guess that begs the question of why they didn’t send somebody this week.
Probst mentioned somthing like no one would be sent to Exile Island in keeping with the good feelings brought about by the videos from their loved ones. Of course their loved ones actually showed up at camp later, so that was likely the real reason they didn’t send anybody away.
Ah, thanks, I missed that. I skipped through the “watching your loved ones on a 2” screen using a tacky product-placement phone" section. And I still misted up when Matty proposed, damn CBS and their loved-one tricksies.
