Survivor April 22 2010

Johnny, the gist is:

Hantz was cooperative and later released after being charged with battery.

Thanks, Ruffian.

And I’m not so sure about the spoiler.

It says Russell was recently voted off the show–but that line of the article is hyperlinked to an article about James getting booted off. Maybe they got their facts mixed up…?

They fixed it. The article now says James too. There’s no spoilers there.

Oh, that’s good! I was so pissed at myself for clicking on the link without reading the spoiler warning.

It’s gratifying to see Parvati live up to the hype yet again. Russell is a master, and yet he’s totally outclassed by Parvati, who is on a whole 'nother level. Hell, JT’s bold move would have won him a regular season; this whole crew is bringing the A game and the season we’re getting as a result is without equal. Along those lines, I’d like to give Candace and Danielle a shout-out for still being in the game.

JT’s move wasn’t stupid, no matter how much Lamar Mundane argues it was. (BMada’s opinions as a kneejerk Hoeroes hater can be summarily dismissed as biased beyond reason.) It was actually pretty smart for the reasons already outlined. But even if you think it was stupid, it’s ridiculous to label it the most stupid move ever. In this season alone, Tyson’s stupid move was clearly worse.

This makes about as much sense as not liking athletic players for doing well at challenges. An attractive, flirtatious person who didn’t take advantage of that ability would be as stupid as if James refused to use his strength in challenges.

I don’t think Parvati should worry about voting out Russell next week. Now that she’s done with him she can send him packing and face off against the Heroes 4vs4 straight up and just count on beating any of the Heroes in a 1on1 tiebreaker. She already knows what the tiebreaker is and she gets to pick her opponent. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

That would not be smart. Sandra is a snake, and I don’t think she’ll care one way or another that Parvati gave her the HII. Parvati, for making such a bold move, will have a huge target on her back. These guys don’t want to go up against her with the jury. Besides, it’s a stupid move to give up your numerical advantage early.

I don’t mean she should convince everyone to vote out Russell. I mean she shouldn’t worry about it if that’s how the chips fall. Sandra’s gunning for Russell, and Russell no doubt feels betrayed by Parvati. I’m just saying it’s not the worst move ever.

You have a point about Sandra. If it does come down to 4vs4, she’s a wildcard. Then again, Parvati might be able to flip Amanda. How close is Amanda to Colby and Rupert? Hell, Parvati could try for an actual all-girl alliance at this point and then take Amanda and Danielle (or Sandra) to the final 3.
