Survivor Finale, 12/20

He probably doesn’t care about the money. He just wants to win.

What did the dude in the crowd just yell out?

I’m pissed. So very very pissed. I’m not even going to watch the rest of the show.

Why do people still insist that an honest, fair game is supposed to win this? Erik pretty much verified my opinion of him as cute, but really kind of off-kilter with that little speech. Survivor is NOT about honesty or fairness or any of that…we’ve had what? 19 seasons? to prove that.

Jury speech, I mean. I’m not really paying full attention to the reunion show.

Whoops–other time zones seem to be seeing the future!! <spooky music> Other people are seeing the reunion special already. See y’all later!

Geronimooooo!

Seriously…I’m just angry with these idiotic fucks. Russell is probably the best Survivor player since this show started, including Richard Hatch. If this jury weren’t so fucking bittercakes, the right person would have won.

Wow, now Jaison really looks like Charles Gunn…the smartified lawyer version of Charles, that is.

See?

Pretty much all of Eric’s reaction shots as the Galus were getting voted out made me think that he actually respected Russell’s play.

Wouldn’t it be more fun to watch if it WAS, though? It’s up to the jury to decide how you win, and it’s ALWAYS been an uphill battle to convince them that dishonesty can be rewarded.

I don’t know. I really LIKE watching an awesome blindside. I LIKE watching someone take down an entire tribe with half the people the losing tribe had. If I want honesty, fairness and kindness, I’ll watch reruns of Touched By An Angel.

Well, what “jerks” have won? I mean, what coniving men/women have won?

  1. Richard Hatch

  2. Brian the porno-car salesman

Who else really manipulated and connived their way to the win?

Well, at least Russ H. got his minor prize.

Apparently, America is smarter than that jury.

Absolutely not. Without conflict, you have no drama; no drama, no television. No one would watch 39 days of smiling people being kind and considerate to each other.

That was called Big Brother US: Season One. Let’s just say that there was a reason they completely changed the rules for Season 2.

There were definitely a couple of “My question is YOU SUCK!” people tonight and the voting was …odd. Clearly, a lot of bitterness amongst the voters and not a lot of thought about who played the best game.

Spoil it for me what was the final vote?(Doesn’t play here until tonight)

5-2 and that’s all we saw(Natalie winning).

Did they get Johny Fairplay and Richard Hatch for the next Survivor?

I thought Hatch was denied permission to leave!

Natalie

at least one good thing came out of the Natalie win. Shambo’s vote meant shit. Damn all those close ups to her face made me want to punch my TV. In all honesty Russell shoulda won. I knew Natalie had a good chance to win tho, in the previous Survivor thread. She had a good rapport with Galu, she actually talked to them, unlike Mick and Jaison. Russell was more of an ass to them. Convincing people that I should win yet acting like an ass to them doesn’t really work even with gameplay as a measuring stick. I think Russell burned way too many bridges. He tried to rectify some of that by taking Brett aside and saying he’s an all-around good guy. A little too late tho, he shoulda sat more Galu aside and gave them a pep talk like he did with brett. Another surprising thing i noticed was Laura was actually gonna vote for Shambo to win if she was in the final three. There was some serious bitterness from the Galu sadly.

I’m baaaack!

OMFG, they just showed Russell’s wife. OMFG. What a trashy lady–I’d hide my eyes too.

Russell completely failed at the social game and ended up with a jury so bitter they were grudgingly going to vote for gameplay until Erik gave most of them an excuse to vote for nice bland Nat, which they seized onto eagerly.

What a weird weird season.
