No. The final of last season occurred after this one finished filming–no one but the producers knew who won.
My quick’n’dirty handicapping of chances to win:
Colby: Needs to win both of the final immunities (and it seems probable that he won’t win at least one, based off the preview), power into the final with Jerri and Russell, and argue that he did a good job saving the Heroes to make it 5v5, got doomed when Parvati made her double-immunity move, and then purposely went under the radar so he could swoop in at the end. I don’t think he’s smart enough to make that argument.
Jerri: Similar to Colby, needs to win another immunity or two, go into the finals with Colby and Russell and make a argument that she purposely played under the radar to pick off the stronger players and that Russell is a terrible person. I don’t think she has the gumption to make that argument.
Russell: Probably needs to go in with Jerri and Colby. If he goes in on his terms, he might just win by making the I’m-the-strongest-player argument… but he’s so hated, he might not get any votes. JT? (I think JT will vote for a man if he can, but he might vote for Colby over Russell). Coach? I think it’s easy to write off Danielle, Courtney, Rupert… I’m just not seeing him being able to get enough votes to win, unless there’s a split that allows him to win with a plurality vote (3-2-2).
Sandra: The only person besides Parv who I think has a chance to win. If she goes into the finals without Parv, I think she wins it. Has played a very quiet but very masterful game, going from the chopping block right before the merge to the person no one’s thinking about getting rid of. Playing the idol will gain her points. She’ll be able to out-talk Russell, and doesn’t need to worry about Jerri or Colby. Not sure if she could beat Parvati, but it’d be interesting.
Parvati: Strongest chance to win, I think she wins easily with any combination that leaves out Sandra. Made several strong moves and showed up in challenges. I think she’ll need to make sure that she explains that it was her, not Russell, who was running things, but she’s easily smart enough to make that argument well.
I think the most interesting Final 3 would be Parv-Sandra-Russell. Two strong players and one who’s convinced he should win. It’ll all really come down to the immunity challenges and votes though… I don’t think there’s an obvious candidate to go home (as everyone will be looking to swing Colby to their side for his vote).
I googled “abbreviations QFT”
The top abb on the list was “Quantum Field Theory”. I figured, “That can’t be right”. Can it?
“Quoted For Truth”
I always thought it was “Quite Fucking True”. Learn something new every day!
If Russel makes it to the F3, we should be able to tell very quickly if he learned from his mistakes. The key will be his attitude towards jury votes and his conduct.
If he spouts off about how the jury will give him the million because he made big moves and won important challenges and the other F3 people did not, they it will be clear he learned little or nothing from the previous season.
IMO, the jury will care nothing about any of that. What will influence their voting wrt Russel is how he treated them. In other words, he won’t be getting a single jury vote. At least not that I could imagine. The only chance he has for a vote is if one of the people on the jury have a burning hot hatred for the other two F3’s such that they would rather vote for Russel than give either of those people a vote.
IOW, the only jury vote Russel would get is a “negative vote” - meaning if someone on the jury hates the other finalists more than Russel, he may get a vote. But I would doubt it.
As a matter of fact, my opinion is that most of the 9 jury votes will be negative votes - meaning this jury will not be voting “for” some one. They will be voting “against” the two people who they hate the most.
He doesn’t know if he won the last one. As far as he knows, he did everything right the last time, it got him to the finale.
QFT.
Plus, he “knows” he’s the greatest *Survivor *player ever.
OMG! I never realized that. Oops!

Also there’s a whole section about Russell’s disadvantages on going into H v V season right after his own season without resolution of his season.
Even if Russell knew the outcome of the previous season I still can’t imagine he would change anything the second time around. I think his huge level of arrogance would cause him to think those previous jurors had just been too stupid to vote the way they really should have voted.
Or if he changes anything it would be to put more even more effort in explaining to the 2nd set of jurors why he is the greatest Survivor. Russell’s logic towards jurors goes something like this…“I lied to you, and duped you, and you bought the lies and fell right into my trap, just as I had planned. That’s why you’re there (on the jury) and I’m here, (in the finals). That means you’re a bunch of dumbasses, and I’m smarter and cleverer than any of you. As the leader of the Villains I’m the primary reason you’re on the jury. I oversaw the manipulation and duping of all of you. And that’s the unequivocal proof that you need to decide that I’m more deserving of the million dollars than anybody else.”
From the very first season the jury votes have always been a significantly interesting twist in the game of Survivor, but it’s a twist that seems wholly beyond Russell’s grasp.
Sandra is totally going to win this season. I kind of wish it was Russell just to see his ego inflate to the point of exploding his skull. Parvati has a huge ego just like Russell, only she won’t be as entertaining as a winner.
Russell gets fan favorite(well maybe Boston Rob will), Boston Rob gives a tired “integrity” speech directed at Russell, and next week the Today Show has Russell and Sandra on for a Jerry Springer bitchfest.
