Yes she did… finally! When we first saw the nail bundle it was on the ground and people were getting nails from it. Even then you could see the clue peeking out from the other side of the campfire. Then someone had to have picked it up (again without seeing it) and place it in the container it was in.
Again this was all after tribe members had mentioned there probably was a clue and were actively seeking it.
Keep in mind how tired everyone is. According to a Probst interview, no one noticed there were only ten votes at Tribal either, and you think that would definitely be something they’d be paying attention to.
Anyone else a little disappointed they didn’t show Joe eat the reward meal? I wanted to see if A) He also looked for a clue or B) He thought it was weird that they served spaghetti on a cloth napkin.
I was surprised we didn’t get some idea of what his thought process was. Like you said, spaghetti on a napkin, you’d think he would’ve drawn some conclusions but they never spoke to him.
Yeah Ben is definitely running the risk of ending up like Brad Culpepper. Though he was absolutely right that Cole was the right vote, and in the end, everyone followed through… though the majority of seven split their vote 5-2 rather than 4-3, which could’ve left them in trouble had Mike and Joe voted with Cole, and the Idol was played correctly (instead they also voted against Cole, resulting in a 7-2-1 vote with the 2 for Mike being wiped out).
It’s kinda weird, most of the player seem like they have a good handle on the strategy, but then when time comes to put actions to words, they misplay idols and vote in strange ways. But they have been correctly targeting the players that make sense, from a immunity challenge point of view… if anything, it seems like the editors are just trying to save us from a season of Pagonging. Hopefully the cracks in the alliance start to widen soon.
I don’t see why he couldn’t have bent a little. Instead of insisting on Cole/Dr. M, why not compromise with Cole/Joe? Show yourself to be more reasonable and willing to listen, and it would most likely be Cole either way.
I half expected Ben to get voted out last night. I agree he is putting a huge target on his back.
I would have got rid of Joe. He’s a disrupter and an unpredictable cog in the wheels who could ruin everything. Cole isn’t going to sweep the ICs. If they don’t get rid of Joe next, they’re insane.
I really don’t understand what Dr. Mike’s strategy was. He had to have known they would split the votes, and even if he played his idol it wouldn’t make a difference. But then he votes for Cole anyway?
The other thing about Cole is he’s a clueless idiot. Even if he made it to the final 3, he’d have very little chance of winning.
Get. Rid. Of. Joe.
Joe is the kind of guy who will figure out a way to pit people against each other. I can see him sowing decent by stealing someone’s shoes or dumping food out so people are hungry. Every day he’s still there is a danger that he figures out some way to weasel to the end, and he can win.
Disagree. He’s no more of a disrupter than Phillip Sheppard was, for example. To increace your chance of winning at the final you need to drag along people everyone hates.
In my opinion, no one this season has any sense of strategy except maybe Ryan and maybe Mike. Neither one is very strong though. They all seem to vote on emotions. There doesn’t seem to be any long term planning.
The cast is also making the same mistake a lot of other season cast’s do, leaving in the person everyone acknowledges is the “leader”. Anyone who gets to the end with Ben will more than likely loose.
I have to laugh every time I hear them talk about getting to the final 7 at tribal as if there some special significance about it. 4 of those special 7 are going to be sorely disappointed come final tribal time.
This, imho, is giving him way too much credit. Joe is no Russell Hantz. The difference between Joe and other sneaky players in the past is, those player at least had some sort of alliance. Joe is alone. Plus he is not that smart.
I’m not a fan of Joe’s but if he uses cunning and strategy to sway the game, good! It makes the season more exiting.
There’s some interesting people, but there’s too many bland players counteracting them. I keep forgetting that JP even exists. Did he say anything this episode?
I’m on the fence about Joe. He’s unpredictable, and unpredictable players are dangerous.
However, as you correctly noted, he’s alone and has no allies (with the possible exception of Dr. Mike). He’s also being way too open with the HA HA HA I AM A DISRUPTOR act. Russell Hantz at least had the good sense to keep his manipulation in the background.
Joe is also making a critical mistake that Hantz made: he’s playing to get to Final Tribal Council, not playing to win. Russell believed that if he made it to FTC, the jury would reward his strategic genius and ignore his complete lack of a social game. That didn’t work for Russell, and it probably won’t work for Joe either.
