So…a few of us are wanting to set up our Guild Bank and as an Officer it appears I can’t do it by myself. Are you still playing? Do you know if there’s a way we can transfer the responsibility to someone else if not?
I (Konner) can donate 100k or so to the cost of the Womp Rats guild bank once we know who’ll be setting it up.
On the Imp side, I’ve begun collecting donations for our guild bank but so far we’ve only raised 10k plus my own money (and I don’t have much; still saving for level 3 speeder training and a speeder). So still a long way to go there.
Speaking of the Womp Rats though, Flightlessbird had suggested Mondays for a guild FP run. I’m up for that tonight; I should be on between 8-8:30 CT (a little later than usual because I have a cub scout meeting to attend).

Cyberhawk, FlightlessBird and I attempted the Battle of Ilum Flashpoint last night (along with CH’s scantily-clad companion).
Overall it went pretty well, although I have trouble quickly grabbing aggro on large groups of adds. I let the companion off-tank several times. And sometimes I let Cyberhawk (who was healing) off-tank. 
But I thought we did pretty well, and even with only three of us we didn’t wipe until the very final boss. I’m sure we would have taken him down with another try but I had pulled major wife aggro and had to bail – sorry guys. Normally it would have been fine for me to play another 20 minutes or so.
I’d like to try that FP again; it’s the only thing keeping me from finishing up the Ilum mission chain.
Cyberhawk (sage), Flightlessbird (Capon/commando) and myself (Konner/vanguard) 3-manned the “Battle for Ilum” FP last night with Cyber’s scantily-clad companion. We didn’t have too much trouble at all - one or two close calls and the final boss took two attempts, but that’s it. I think Capon got some new gloves out of it and I got new leg armor and a belt, plus we all received a handful of commendations. We’re going to try to run FPs together at least every Monday, and if we can get one more person we could even start doing some hard modes. Personally I’d like to do “The False Emperor” FP on Ilum since that’s the next in my Ilum mission chain.
We also have a guild bank - right now it has a few pieces of gear and a few mats. I dropped five crafting recipes in there last night (synthweaving and armortech) and a some more gear. I think to preserve space we should not bother putting green gear in the guild bank and just put in useful blue/purple/orange items.
I got gloves and a new assault cannon! As for the commendations, where do I spend them? What should I buy first? I still have some green gear that needs replacing.
I wonder if I’m doing as much damage as our scantily clad companion? I know I’m good with my battle-res and cc-abilities.
They were Corellia commendations I believe, so you’ll have to head to the market on Corellia to spend them (or the Corellian commendations vendor on the fleet). I didn’t get a good look at your gear so I’m not sure what you need, but I can craft a bunch of +Aim/+End armoring and mods for your moddable gear that’s as good as you’ll get with the commendations, so don’t spend them on those. I can also make you a good earpiece.
More guild happenings…
Last night Cyberhwk and I scoured Alderaan, Balmorra and Belsavis for datacrons picking up all the +Aim, +Willpower, +Endurance and +Presence ones (skipping Strength and Cunning which are useless to both of us). We ended up on those three planets because the guide I was using is arranged alphabetically :). If you had been there, you could have joined us!
Those +3s, +4s, add up even in End-Game.
I just started playing SWTOR a bit over a month ago - didn’t realize there was a Doper guild until I was pretty far into my main, but I’m thinking of rolling a new character and figured I might as well jump servers. You guys are on Master Zhar Lestin, right? What’re the guild names?
I finally remembered to put Acus into the SDMB chat channel, so you can give me a yell if you need a fourth for something. I don’t think any FPs are going to give me anything, gear-wise, but since I ended up pretty much going straight into Ops, I’ve only ever ended up doing a couple of the high level/hardmode FPs.
Yes, we’ve got two guilds on MZL. The Republic-side guild is “Burning Womp Rats” which is a bit more active than the Imperial-side guild, “Nineteen-twenties Death Star”. I hardly ever see anyone on the imp side although one of my two 50s is there. On either side you can join custom chat channel /sdmb to see if anyone is online for an invite.
Last night I decided to go for a matrix cube for my trooper and I was pleasantly surprised that it only took about 40 minutes to collect the three shards I needed and to forge the cube, which was a huge upgrade. It would have gone faster but there was some tricky jumping to do on Nar Shadda.
I should be on tonight (7 Pacific) if we’ve got enough to run something.

Bird, if you haven’t done so with Capon, you should get the matrix cube relic I mentioned. It involved finding datacrons with yellow shards on Nar Shadda, Ilum and Coruscant and none of them are very difficult. I can even show you tonight if we don’t have enough for a group.

I was going to put up a Guild Announcement reminding everyone to join us on Monday night… but belatedly I remembered that I won’t be there tonight. I’m going out of town on business today and won’t be back until late Wednesday. So no FP for me tonight, sorry.
I’m back from my business trip so I’ll be online if anyone wants to team up for heroics or FPs. Or datacron-gathering; I still have more of those to do. If you don’t see me online with the Womp Rats I’m probably on my BH, “Burro.” Either faction I’ll be on the /sdmb channel.
Just for the future…
I imagine a lot of the green Level 47-50 junk we’ve got in the Guild Bank might never get used. Would anybody object to me taking gear out when it gets full, vendoring it, then depositing the money bank into the Guild Bank for repair or other costs? We’re not near that point yet, but we may be someday.
