I have some tattoos that sorta have hidden meanings. My friends have enjoyed trying to figure these out, maybe others will as well. I can give clues if they are too difficult. As far as prizes go, well, I’ll neuter your cat if you bring it to me. You may not play if your locality has laws against brain teasers.

All pics are generally safe for work. Number 3 has nudity (breasts) but is art, not porn. Any naughty bits have been cropped (ouch). Some of the work is very old, some very new. Please excuse the hair; I do not keep my work shaved.

NOTE: Due to my schedule, I will not be able to get back online until Monday morning, 9 AM EST. Sorry.

  1. Brand new tattoo (last night). OK, I am looking for the title of this tattoo, and the reference. BONUS: give the genus/species or common name of the animals.

  2. Who is this?

3)This piece is called “Sailor’s Dream”. It is an adaptation based on original artwork by a comic book artist. Name him.

  1. What is wrong with this picture?

  2. What time is it? Explain the significance.

  3. This tattoo is titled, “Monica Lewinsky”. Why?

  4. This tattoo was designed following a visit to a store. Name the store and its location.

  5. Bonus- one of the tattoos was particularly painful due to its location. Can you tell the tattoo/location?

Anyways, not really sure I got any of them as I didn’t really know what the question was for many of them (just name the picture?) but those are my guesses at something.

Neptune? That seems way too easy. Maybe it’s specifically Ariel’s dad.

Flamingos’ “knees” bend the other way, because they are really ankles.

Not the watch, as far as pain. They all hurt and the watch was prolly second worst, especially the band on the underside.

  3. Yes, a voodoo shop in New Orleans uses a toned-down version of the zombie as their logo. My gf and I were in the big easy two years post Katrina for jazzfest. On returning home, I told her I was getting a new tattoo to commemorate our trip. She was thinking sweet and romantic thoughts. When she saw the finished piece she was initially shocked. :stuck_out_tongue:

Not Neptune. Flamingo correct! 4:20 correct, and yes it is a swallow. Believe it or not, back when Ms Lewinsky was on everyone’s mind, the joke always got a laugh.

The judges have reconsidered RoOsh answer of “Neptune or Poseidon”. The tattoo is a depiction of Poseidon. IMHO, Poseidon is a much cooler god than Neptune. See, Neptune ruled over only fresh water, while Oceanus ruled the world-ocean. Poseidon ruled the waters, period.

Also, Neptune was UGLY, compared to Poseidon .

This piece is called Three Little Birds. If you don’t recognize the title of this Bob Marley tune, don’t worry 'bout a ting. Cause every little thing gonna be all right. :wink:

The birds are two Bananaquits and one Lesser Antillean Bullfinch. Two very common birds on the Caribbean Islands I’ve visited. Banaquits, in particular are cool birds. They will eat sugar offered to them. If not offered, they will fly to an empty restaurant table and pilfer sugar packets.

The artist was Greg Irons. RIP.

The swallow (Monica Lewinsky tattoo) was my most painful (out of those shown. :D). It is just south of my armpit, on my arm.
