Yeah that’s bullshit! Was that a freakin mangina on his face? WTF! What happened to the wild-eyed ranting Kyle Reece that Sarah fell in love with?
It looked like they tried to make a young actor look older.
I’m kind of lost, having forgotten the last episode. What was John Henry’s audio playback for Shirley about? What’s the warehouse all about? Sorry, can’t remember.
He looked like a boy-band reject. I hope he won’t be a recurring vision for Sarah.
not even halfway past the first page, despite a good episode contrasted with the far fetched Dollhouse. i want more robots on tv dammit! not humans playing at programmable dolls with software…
Not a bad episode.
I’m guessing the audio clip that John Henry picked up was some sloppiness that lead to Mansonbot’s assault on the warehouse. But, as usual with this show, they seem to have cut a couple crucial lines that would have taken it from plot-forced speculation to actual in-show certainty.
And what the hell was the deal with Kyle? Brian Austin Green surprised the hell out of me by not being some irritating little 90210 bitch on this show…so they hook us up with a Jason Priestley clone with a shitty beard? Who could possibly have thought that was a non-terrible idea?

I didn’t think he did so bad. And apparently, according to IMDB, he’s played Kyle all three times the character has appeared in the show. We just never paid attention to him before because it was in a flashforward that also included the more interesting Derek.
Indeed, in his first appearence as Kyle—I think about 30 seconds in a flashforward—he was really pretty impressive. He’s got the voice down pretty well, which is/was a must, but I’d say they were trying a little too hard to make him a copy of 1985 Michael Biehn in his latest appearence, rather than just a new version of Kyle.
Seriously—just have him skip a few meals, only go one or two days without shaving or make do with makeup, and drink a little too much coffee before shooting, and I think you’d be all set again.
P.S.—I’ve been trying to think of other actors or celebrities with better beards. A couple of them were women, and one was a bog mummy.
I dunno… Michael Biehn’s still alive. Given a choice between taking some kid and trying to make him look gritty and older, I think I’d rather have the real Kyle Reese. I wouldn’t mind that he looked too old for the part.
Have you seen Michael Biehn lately? He will forever be The Man, but even he doesn’t look like he could be Kyle Reese anymore:

I’ve been hoping he could have a guest spot…as Kyle and Derek’s father, Dwayne Reese.
De drone de drone!!!
I haven’t watched the show since the first episode. Is it worth catching up on?
Is all this stuff considered “canon” along with the movies? In the first movie, we were told that there was exactly one (1) trip through time, and nobody else was coming through. Then a sequel, then another sequel, and now apparently there’s just a boatload of various kinds of robots time-traveling from a hypothetical near future into contemporary America.
So, does it seem like really contrived storytelling just for the sake of having a series, or does it actually somehow make sense?
I love the show, but it is not considered canon with the movies.
If you remember from the first episode, the time jump forward established an alternate timeline to Terminator 3 and everything that happens in the show happens in that alternate timeline.
Terminator Salvation will continue on from the end of Terminator 3 and disregards all aspects of the show.
Thanks! Interesting idea . . . . but at the same time, it makes the whole show seem kind of pointless.
Or maybe Great-grandfather Peewee.
No comments on the latest episode?
Can someone explain the deal to me with (what I assume is) the prototype HK drone? Most importantly, why is it killing cows? Why does a guy who appears to have gone rogue from the Mansonator (and appeared to just be a hired killer, not a scientist) have control of the drone?
Besides watching the daughter nearly bounce out of her funeral dress as she ran down the stairs I was kind of disappointed by more stuff not getting explained. Is this now the X-Files?

IMO the HK’s presence in the water is what poisoned the cattle.
Hairy and Baldy were Company stooges who kept a watch over the workers/townfolk. Any pot stirrers would be dealt with. When Sarah stirred the pot, Shirl cleaned house. The only remaining stooge was left to shrink-wrap the HK and drive on.
Good ep. I like Cameron. John’s gotta stop being so douchie.
Technical footnote: if you watch it online at Fox, it’s missing the entire “Wake” segment.
The only issue I have with this is that Weaver hired bald dude to hunt down the last survivor - so, while he was the last remaining stooge - I dont think he works for the company any more.
Yep sorry, I meant the original Baldie who shot Sarah.
As for Weaver’s (also bald) investigator? Shot by the HK? Poked by Weaver once he learned too much?
Meanwhile I think Hairy’s doing what he’s supposed to do. Weaver sent the investigator to see if her cover’s been blown.
Most likely Weaver’s bald investigator was killed by the last survivor - the one that got the HK to park in the truck and then drove off.
Pretty sure they showed that the investigator had been shot - they showed some blood in the underground lair as well, indicating he was likely killed shortly after going into the house to find not so dead dad dude.
