the almost turkey day mmp

Finally had enough of SIL?

swampy, your steak & Shake sounds like my local Popeye’s. While their food isn’t bad (yet), in the past year and a half, their drive thru times have gone to I could fry the damn bird myself faster and it’s a gamble on what you actually have in your bag once you get home.

Happy birthday Mrs LA!

Up, caffeinating, breakfasted, a load of clothes in the wash and a warm dog in my lap. There will be a few chores today, including going to the Mexican market and the Cricket store, but otherwise a slothful day.

Home, et breakfast Pt II (& IIa); I was hongry, but then Brekkie Pt 1 was in the latter stages of the four o’clock hour. Our part of the marathon is done & was successful & issueless. Now nappage, then a few groceries, some lawn dairy, & prehaps even watching of some tackleball. I haven’t been home on a Sunday in weeks.

::Passes out on fainting couch::
Where’s the beer being kept?

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Making the bed took extra long today, since somebody was hounding me for extra butt skritches. I need more coffee, it took 3 edits to fix the coding.:smack:

Well, there’s no sanity clause…

[Beavis]Heh heh heh…you said butt. Heh heh heh[/Beavis]
Why yes, I am that juvenile.:stuck_out_tongue:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mrs. Flyboy!!!

Up early with the Siamese devil cats. They have no mercy. I did go back to bed though. I had to get up and feed myself and let doggies out. I’m not up for a long walk yet.
Gotta finish cleaning today. Bathrooms. Floors tomorrow.
Happy Sunday y’all

Doggio, are you trying to confuse me?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I knew there was something about you I like!

The house is smelling yummmmm! I just lowered the temp for the poke and added some time - it should be mega-tender when the beeper goes off!

Back to knitting and TV.

I only do cats.

But it appears the hamsters have gotten into the 'shrooms this morning, I keep getting 500 errors.

Thanks!

Mrs. L.A. liked the Significant Otter birthday card, the sea otter plush toy, and the otter socks. She’s wearing the socks, and has the toy on the ottoman in front of her.

Finally made it out to check on the bees, and to take the spare honey off (leaving it on means leaving them with more space to keep warm, so it’s actually better to take it off if they have enough).

Called in to the allotment on the way back, to empty the kitchen scraps bin, and it all got a bit dramatic. I noticed a helicopter circling, which I recognised as the air ambulance. It got closer and closer (I stopped panicking when I realised it wasn’t a police one), then suddenly came in to land in the allotment car park, which is shared with a stately home who own the site. Two ambulances then showed up and blocked off the entrance, also blocking my car from exiting. I mean, no complaint- getting someone to hospital is more important than me getting dinner on, but it meant I wound up stuck in the car for 15 minutes while the helicopter took off literally around 20 metres away from me. It was like being stuck in a very short-lived hurricane.

I didn’t see anyone get loaded into the helicopter, I think they wound up in one of the other ambulances, so hopefully it wasn’t as serious as initially thought. They don’t put you in the helicopter unless they need to get you to the big hospital fast, not just the little local one (no bill for it either way, incidentally- the helicopter is charity funded).

Anyway, I’m not sure what to do with this honey; some of it’s clearly ivy honey, which sets like a brick. I guess I’ll be giving it back to the bees a bit at a time, and make it their problem.

Poke is pulled and sauced. I also added some chopped onions because yum! We’ll eat in an hour or so.

I had to go rest for an hour or 2. I took a pain pill as my back was killing me. I gotta remember to ask the kidney Dr. about pain pills and dangers to my pitiful kidney. Seems I remember there’s a analgesic just for kidneys. I don’t like pain pill naps. My head is full of fluff 'n stuff now. Didn’t get but one bathroom cleaned. The main one for guests. My bathroom can wait. The half bath downstairs will just take a few minutes to do.
Mr.Wrekker brought a pile of dirty duds from the camp. He said don’t worry about them. He’s gonna do 'em. Hmmm. At least they are in the garage. I don’t have to look at them.
No clue what I’ll eat tonight. No corndogs here (:()
Cat’s have slept the day away on my headboard. They’ll probably chase and torment each other all night.
I’m gonna go walk the dogs and see if my head clears up.
‘Mom’ send me a pulled poke sammich. Sounds so good. (:)) i gotta do that one day while the bunch is all here.
Have a good eve, y’all.

Cleaned the kitchen, and rewarded myself with an O’Fashioned. Waiting for the Canes and Packers games to start.

Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated, had MickeyD’s for N.O.L., and went toy shoppin’. The givin’ tree was up this mornin’. We decided to buy for a three year old boy, so pulled that tag off’n the tree. The request was for either a fire truck or a dinosaur toy. He shall get both. Both toys make a lot of noise so I’m sure they will be a big hit with him. The adults around him, probably not so much. We also got extra AA batteries for both toys. All the tags got gone this mornin’ and there will be more up next Sunday. We’ll probably snag another one. We don’t do the buy gift thing for each other. Instead we do stuff like this and Toys for Tots. Other than that, sloth has ruled the day.

Spidey not to worry. Beerator is big enough to hold plenty of beer and Mr. Tom.

You’re a good man, Swampy.

swampy, we had good news at church today. FINALLY, a new dean for the cathedral has been selected. It took 'em over a year and a half, and the current Canon to the Ordinary,(Admin Assist)a to the bishop was the choice. At least he’s already here, won’t even have to move, and we have known him for three years.

Swampy- that truley has put a bit of Christmas cheer in my little grinch heart.
Thanks for sharing.

Evening all. Outside of paying some bills, dining at Olive Garden, and watching tackleball, not much to report. Made a lit of things to be done the next two days (before going to Brother’s house on Wednesday), so suspect I’ll be busy with them the next two days.

Hope the back is feeling better, Becks.

The pulled poke sounds nice for dinner, FCM.

Nut, hope you and the bees are happy with the honey. And surprised that they let you stay that close to the helicopter…here, cops probably would have made you move or leave the wehicle at the least.

flyboy, so she was otterly delighted with your gifts, eh?

swampy, my Steak and Shake is still good food, but lousy service…might be because the tab is as low as most fast food places so the tips aren’t that great, so they probably have a high turnover. (IMHO)

Everybody else take care and I’ll see you on the next MMP.

Went to a Carpatho-Rusynn Bingo. Not as large or as much fun as Gay Bingo but a nice day out. Busy week coming and planning to kick back for a few hours.

Nah, not true, they don’t produce rain. Though when you sit a couple of feet below the rotors with the doors [del]open[/del] off I can attest that it does get rather windy as I can attest to from the other day!

::falls back down::
Then there should be more beer in there. The only exception is if you put something like Vodka or Jaegermeister in there (so you don’t need to dilute it with ice).
