The Big Bang Theory, April 10, 2014 -- "The Relationship Diremption"

I am starting this thread in anticipation of tonight’s episode.

Just to get it out of the way:

Oh, the suspense…

Leonard & Penny?
Sheldon & Amy?
Sheldon & Leonard? (No idea what kind of relationship they’re talking about)
Howard & Bernadette?
Raj & Cinnamon?
Raj & Howard?
Raj’s parents?
Bernadette’s parents?
Amy & Penny?
Penny & Bernadette?
Bernadette and Amy?

It’s gotta be Amy and Sheldon, right? I mean seriously how much of his nonsense is she supposed to put up with?

That’s the way I’d bet. But for all we know Sheldon is just changing dentists.

Stuart and…
Eh, I got nothin’.

Sheldon and physics (specifically, string theory)

They HAVE GOT to bring back Leslie Winkle for an “I told you so. Dumbass.”

So, is his fling with Geology (the Dirt People!) just a one night stand or something more serious?

“It’s not my friend. Nothing happened!” :o

It’s just a one night stand. He was hired as a theoretical physicist. Caltech isn’t going to pay him for geology. He needs a new project. I’d suggest he work on finding a way to reverse entropy. On a massive scale.

Sheldon is an amusing drunk and he’s fun the morning after.

And Emily has teeth! I think she’d be a good addition. I hope they keep her around. I wonder how she’d deal with Sheldon.

It seems the truce between Howard and Sheldon is still holding.

while that would be nice she is in a new show, Bad Teacher.

I LOL’d through the whole episode. Good lines one after another and cohesive storyline.
The only misstep was Bernadette’s put-off reaction when Emily said she chose her field because she likes to cut people. Bernadette’s “real” response should have been something like, “I kind of like that about you.”

Becky, I agree. I think that would have been a bonding moment between Emily and Bernadette.

Any episode with Kripke in it starts out with one strike against it. I did enjoy Amy’s reaction to Sheldon’s hairdo “Sex on a stick!”

I thought it was great that the pajamaless Sheldon woke up after a bender with a geology book under his arm. I was hoping for Amy, but this was funnier.

Yeah, I would have expected something along those lines from Bernie.

Sure, the initial gag was everyone thinking he was nekkid in bed with Amy. I loved the way he slipped his arm out from underneath the geology book without disturbing it. I think it was funny storytelling; credit to the writing, directing, and acting.

It’s funny that even Sheldon knows that maneuver.

agreed

Is string theory really coming to be seen as a dead end, though?
