The Big Bang Theory, Season 10, Episode 23 (May 4, 2017) -- "The Gyroscopic Collapse"

I am starting this thread in anticipation of tonight’s episode.

Really thought Raj was going to move to 3A – why go to the effort of showing it is empty?

How many times has a season ended with one of more characters going on extended trips? A lot, that’s how many. Second question I’d like an answer to: What was that first thing Sheldon helped in passion?

I know, that’s what I was thinking, as well. If he couldn’t afford the rent by himself, perhaps he and Stuart could swing it, together…

Stuart apparently can’t afford rent anywhere - prior to the manny gig, he was sleeping in his store. I don’t see him having enough cash to cover half of an apartment.

Plus, now we presumably get more Bert. It would be easy to have too much Burt (how does he spell his name?), but we haven’t gotten there yet IMO.

I’m still enjoying watching Sheldon turn into a Real, Live Boy.

I also like the Raj will live in a room over Burt’s garage. One night of Burt forgetting to turn off the car, and we get rid of Raj in a carbon monoxide accident. Hilarity ensues as Sheldon tries to explain the difference between dioxide and monoxide. Howard could make pop cultural jokes about how this never happened when Fonzie was living over the Cunningham’s garage. (Oh! And this would deal with Cinnamon too!)

Interesting that Sheldon would have so much trouble living without Amy, but Amy’s perfectly ok without Sheldon.

She hasnt left yet, has she?

Well we all learned a lesson in not trusting the (our) government! (Well not just now learning)

It was interesting this time around but I still dont understand about the empty apartment…I must have missed something:smack:

She was living on her own for years before moving in with Sheldon. Whereas as far as we know Sheldon has never lived alone - he lived with Sebastian before Leonard.

The empty apartment is one floor down from Leonard and Penny’s place - they went there by mistake.

I liked the line “The movie just got good!”

I believe Amy is going.

Next week Ricky Lindhome is returning as Dr. Ramona Nowitzki

Yeah, that was great!

Me, when Leonard opened the lab and it was empty:

“Didn’t you watch Real Genius?”

Will we ever learn about why the Air Force pulled that stunt? Will the boys ever actually read their government research contract?

Really? That would be fantastic.

I don’t remember, did Sheldon ever give Amy that ring?

I presume they just needed the guys to get a working prototype and now they can reverse engineer it and add all their Top Secret military stuff to it.

But did they get paid?

I’m assuming yes.

I got the impression they were upset because they wanted to take idea all the way to implementation (at least that is how I read the opening scene).

The Air Force (quite reasonably, I think) figured that two theoretical PhDs and an engineer with no experience in actually moving from a prototype to a working assembly line would be in over their heads.

I’m certain that if not for reasons of funny it would have been handled better in real life, but it seems logical that it happened. And, as mentioned by Elendil’s Heir, it’s undoubtedly in their contract.

Well, to be fair, Leonard is in applied physics, not theoretical. And Howard has had experience designing and building devices for the International Space Station and the space shuttle (although they haven’t always worked as planned).
