And he couldn’t find a non-stop flight from L.A. to Newark?
I thought Penny looks as if she’s lost weight.
She’s 9 years older, too, like the rest of the cast. They’ve all visibly changed since then.
Except Jim Parsons. It’s because Sheldon hates change and Jim is a method actor.
Kind of funny. This weekend Jim Parsons married his long time Partner in real life.
I dunno about that. Ramona’s controlling of his life was seen by Sheldon as being for his own good and the advancement of science. He didn’t like it, but was willing to put up with it. His relationship with Amy is similar in some respects (we’ve seen her discipline him like a child several times, and even during this ep she sent him to bed early). The chief difference between the two is that Amy gets along with everyone else, something Ramona didn’t care about.
In case you didn’t get it, “fries” rhymes with “thighs.”
At last a fully enjoyable episode. The laughs were nicely spaced out and quite regular.
This isn’t really the same Ramona as before. So we have Ramona 1.0 and now Ramona 2.0. She’s calmer, sweeter, etc. The others not reacting to her the same as before can be partially explained by that.
I think this is the most number of people they’ve had on the stairs at a time. It’s hard to write dialogue for that many people when they’re not all easily seen at the same time. Solution: no dialogue. Rely on visual jokes.
The Amy/Penny painting was shown again. Nice touch. I like callbacks. (And having Ramona return is one big callback.)
Just a couple weeks before this aired I mentioned to Mrs. FtG how they should have some of Leonard and Sheldon’s old girlfriends come back briefly as one-off dates for Raj. Creating a “What is going on?” storyline. As for Sheldon, this pretty much means Ramona (and the Ramona-replacement at the end of that episode). So I was hoping-against-hope that Raj would succeed it getting a date with her.
The proposal under these circumstances is presumably to set up a typical back-and-forth cycle of Shamy breakup and re-uniting for much of next season.
I had to explain to Mrs. FtG the “one job” meme. So I enjoyed that line a lot more than her.
Well if The Shamy gets marrieds it makes me think that how ever many seasons are left under the current contract will probably be the end of the show. The main couple is married. Secondary couple is married with baby. Second Secondary couple is married. And they’ll get Raj at least set up with a serious love interest.
I just hope something good happens for Stuart before the show is done. Like one of his comics gets huge and gets turned into a movie and he gets all rich.
Leonard (to Sheldon): It’s only funnier when you explain it.
Plus thighs are practically in the same shape as fries.
Well that was interesting. Doesn’t look like an actual comedy, does it?
At least not a funny one.
Plus that kid is already more emotionally and socially aware and more empathic than adult Sheldon is even with the growth they’ve allowed him.
Pass.
