The Billion Dollar MMP

Ugh, irk sucked last week and this week isn’t going much better.

We skipped the orientation because I would have had to miss irk and irk sent out a mass email about people not irking their scheduled hours. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t directed at me but since I had logged in late Moonday because of that orientation I decided not to push my luck.

I put out the last pack of D-con tonight, I hope this is it. I cannot find a hole where they are coming in, but I know it doesn’t have to be very big either. Every time I think we are rid of them, it will be quiet for a while, and then it starts up again.

My stomach still hurts.
I keep saying it but I have to do it, get on a schedule of eating at regular times.

I didn’t win the Poweball jackpot, so it’s up, caffeinated, and off to work.

Well, I’m in work. Stoopit lottery. On the other hand, one of the winning tickets was sold in FL, and my daughter and inlaws live there, so…

For some reason, I keep waking at 3AM. Today I couldn’t fall back to sleep, so I gave up about 4:30 and started my day. It’s gonna be a long one - when I get home, I have to pack the car, have a quick supper, then head north. I’m going to take my laptop so I don’t have to use Mom’s machine.

Meanwhile, work work work work work…

Happy Thursday, non-lottery winners!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 31 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 64 and sunny for the day. However, rain is comin’ in tonight and all day tomorrow. ICK! I shall head out to the west forty for the day in just a little while which will pretty much take up the whole irk day today. Rah.

OK, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Well, came into irk and got the Powerball numbers from CNN, checked my tickets (because one of the winners was apparently from Tennessee, where I bought mine) and…and…

I’m still at irk. Dammit.

Weird dreamtime this morning…I normally do not remember any of my dreams, but this was in that misty time between REM sleep and waking up. I remember climbing stairs with a group of friends, then over rocks, and ended up in some Navy depot where they were trying to repair some old TV’s and my brother was throwing a tantrum because they wouldn’t do what he was telling them to do (at least that was realistic) and then we found an old abandoned torpedo tube which had a woman’s body in it, who suddenly came alive and…I woke up about then.

Maybe it is a good thing that I don’t remember my dreams very often.

Love it…got a note from my boss that I have to do some on-line training to reach a certain point total to keep the Big Bosses happy–forget that I am retiring in about 3 months, do that training!! So I will to keep my Branch Chief (who is a nice guy) out of trouble, but I can’t wait for April when I can really tell the powers that be what I really think…heheheheheheh

Enough meandering, on to irk and training.

I’s stavhink today, so I just went to the cafe to get & egg & cheese sammich. This is after eating my normal brekkie of a couple of bowls of cereal, at home, in the 6am hour. Because, while I’ll imbibe as long as it’s 5 o’clock somewhere (& champagne after a morning flight kinds counts in that) I just cannot eat lunch before noon!

The good news is that I remembered to bring in the veggie side today for my lunch today.

Blurf. No lottery win here. The ticket in Florida was sold in Melbourne Beach.
Dammit

I didn’t check my tickets but considering I don’t live in any of the three states I’m guessing I’m going to work as well.

I told the people I usually work with that if I won the second thing I would do is ride the conveyor belts around the building ---- something that TPTB have always stressed would lead to instantly being fired and escorted from the building by security. Someone was bright enough to ask what the first thing would be and I told them it would be to offer two years wages to anyone who wanted to join me. Sadly surfing the belts isn’t going to happen. :frowning:

Booze – it’s what’s for dinner.

And breakfast.

Lunch.

Not a bad snack really.

(What can I say? Sometimes the genes from mothers side of the family show through)

Not a major lottery winner here. Haven’t checked to see if I won a smaller prize or not. I’ll dream a little longer.

Still sick, but improving. I think.

Kids and hubby off into the world.

Onwards. Blurf!

Has to be a flaw in the system if it allowed someone in Florida to win. I demand a do over.

I like your style, ruble.

Well, signed up for two on-line classes, Cost Analysis and Designing for Supportability in DoD Systems…fascinating stuff awaits me, I am sure…zzzzzzz

Lunch first.

I had a nice lunch packed. It is a poke chop, buttered potatoes, broccoli and baked beans. It is at home in the fridge. Dag gum it. I guess I will head out to the Pubic store and see if I can find something for lunch.

It is still raining, cloudy, windy, dark and 65F. Need sunshine.

Had the first wind orchestra rehearsal of the year yesterday night. We have a double bass now! (Yes, I know it’s not a wind instrument, but it’s become a common instrument in wind bands.)

Also, I got to play klezmer music on the alto clarinet.

We’re doing “Mars” by Holst, too. Very challenging.

Happy Thorsday!

It’s up to 41 degrees outside, anything above freezing works for me.

We have to go grocery shopping today, the groceries are already ordered.

Busy busy busy morning, and more of the same for the afternoon.

Melbourne Beach? Dammit, not daughter in Orlando or inlaws in Ocala. Dammit.

Our tickets are still at home - we might be million-dollar winners… Yeah, that’ll happen.

Four more hours, then I’m outta here for a 4-day weekend. Rah!

I love “Mars.” Very scary when it’s done right, especially the intro. A good version will send chills down my spine.

My cow-orker called in today. This is the one who brags about how she only needs four hours or less of sleep a night, then gets sick all the time. Gee, I wonder why?

Well, I didn’t win the lottery either, hence, I came to irk today.

We’ve been busy this week after a slow December. It feels good.

I’ll just whiiiiine if I post too much. I’ll settle for another BLURF.
