Long dragging day. I just got a weather announcement calling for winds 40-60 MPH and rain from midnight tonight until noonish tomorrow. :eek:
If it is doing all that in the AM there is no way I’m driving in it.
Howdy Y’all! Home from the west forty. Plus tomorrow is irk from home day and then a three day weekend. YAY! I took a container of beast stew outta da freezer this mornin’ for tonight’s dindin and tomorrow’s N.O.L. ‘Tis cloudy and dreary lookin’ out so I am expectin’ rain this evenin’. Also this is my last night of bein’ sans supervision. I’ll be glad. I’ve missed my adult supervisor.
Home from getting groceries. I need to read the receipt, the stuff that was on sale didn’t come up that way online and the bill was $30+ less than I thought it would be. If I had known some of it was on sale I would have bought more.
It was 51 degrees out but the wind made it feel colder.
Beast stew has been ingested. Chillage ensues.
Like the rest of us, no calling in rich for me.
I worked, I came home, I walked the dog, then napped. Now it’s hockey. I didn’t win, but between holiday pay and OT, I did have a nice paycheck.

I considered the appropriate garb for said adventure had it happened. I kept going back and forth between Basic Yoder and some sort of gold thong like that one we were threatening to buy for Swampy. Or Swampy was threatening to buy. My memory isn’t what it used to be. Either way I remember a thong being involved.
Doing a double shift tomorrow by request. Not sure just what is expected to happen but the managers want their best people in place. Those people being wiser than I am ---------
We also have rain, hail and apocalypse. :eek: I shall be availing myself of the irk from home option.
Need to figure out the whole dinner thing. Decisions, decisions.
I am Sofa King cold. I am carless as it’s in for repairs & inspection. Was planning on running home from wherest I was but got a ride. When running, you dress for about 15° warmer than actual temp so I was waaay underdressed. Now that I’m home & have added a few layers I’m starting to thaw (but I’m still typing this with gloves on!)
Swampy’s been known to be a mean wind instrument…particularly on Mexican &/or BBQ dinner nights. :eek:

Greetings from the wilds of Harford County! I had to wait for Mom to get up to get her WiFi password. So I’m good, despite waking up at 4-freekin’-A-M!!!
I’ll be taking Mom to the bank and the grocery store today, and giving her a haircut. Because why should she spend $20 for a professional cut when I can butcher her hair for free??? My mom cracks me up…

Firday finally and a slight bit of rain in the air. Got a 4-hour on-line course to complete and a couple of other minor things, but with the MLK holiday Monday, I’m expecting the powers-that-be to give is 59 minutes Administrative leave today (they can’t give more than that, if it’s an hour or more it must be annotated and reported and justifeid and…just easier to say 59 minutes.
I wish we had more sun…these long nights and short days wear on me.

I once played in an orchestra with a viola player who doubled on that particular wind instrument.
