Oy oy oy! Cumt cunt cunt! The first two episodes are here, and as usual no punches are pulled.
I hope Ryan comes back from that boarding school in Svalbard.
On the negative side, I thought their meta comments about series finales were kind of lame.
I didn’t recognize Tim Daly at all.
5x05 was a great one.
I liked the cameos!
Never watched Supernatural but I recognized Jared Padalecki as soon as he showed up. I found the first half of the episode to be a bit slow. The second half really ramped up on the crazy action. Not sure how they are going to wrap everything up in only 3 episodes.
Assuming his character is even still alive, he’s been locked up for planning to assassinate his supe vice-president-elect. The writers would have had to have broken him out, perhaps as part of the Starlighter underground.
Realistically, I guess the producers didn’t sign him for a fifth season.
I know its bad for the plot, but soldier boy had the perfect opportunity to resolve this madness.
Also I’m surprised by sage’s long term plan. I don’t know if that is her long term plan or if she is just lying. But you’d assume a super genius could figure out how to just read books all alone if they wanted to w/o starting Armageddon. Just buy a goddamn cabin in the woods
Imagine if mindstorm was still alive. He could’ve taken care of homelander.
If I wanted to be alone to read, I do not think that I would invite Ashley and her weird Kuato twin to join me.
Yeah. I’m assuming she has a multi layered plan that’ll all make sense in the end. But her motivations are hard to understand. I guess thats why shes the smartest person on earth.
My kid, who does not watch The Boys, does watch Supernatural. It was a scream-filled 20 minutes when kid decided to join me. Plus the poker players were all non-SPN familiar faces.
I keep hearing/reading people not liking it much but maybe because I watched them all just last summer and didn’t have to wait, I don’t notice a huge decline in quality. No more than other shows sometimes get a few seasons on. It’s still good enough that I’m sad it’s ending and not exhausted by its return
That’s what she was already doing when Homelander came and interrupted her.
And yet, Ted Kaczynski had to mail bombs to people.
Never underestimate hatred. Sage isn’t withdrawing from humanity; she’s extincting it.
So with episode 6 out, people are wondering if Sages plan backfired.
I’m assuming this is all part of her plan. I think she made V1 and she is going to find a way to give it to someone on butchers team, to give them the same power that soldier boy has (to strip supes of their power). Then that person will strip both homelander and soldier boy of their powers, and kill them.
Then that person will basically be like a guardian who can strip supes of their power if they become evil.
I think Sage is pretending what happened was unexpected so that she can manipulate the boys team into letting one of them take the working version of V1 she made.
Or she couldn’t make working V1, but found a way to switch the working V1 from bombsight and gave him a defective version knowing Homelander would take it, and she is going to give the working V1 to someone on the Boy’s team.
Either way, I think this was all part of her plan and both soldier boy and homelander end up having their powers stripped and end up dead. or they end up being immortal but losing their powers, and spend centuries in prison.
After watching episode 7, I have no idea how they plan on wrapping up the show next week. Other than removing another main character, and showing Homelander becoming more and more insane, this episode felt like a bit of a waste.
Hopefully one side wins without the use of Deus ex Machina plot devices, but with one episode left I don’t see how it can be avoided.
They’re superhumans, so basically everything they do is a deus ex machina. But my guess is that there’ll be a big fight scene (including Soldier Boy and Ryan and some of the cast of Gen V) and Homelander will lose (at least I hope he loses!).
I am mostly concerned that they will throw in some weapon that we have not seen before that is miraculously able to kill Homelander. Maybe something that Sage has been developing on the side.
They are trying to give Kimiko the ability to depower him. Surely that won’t be a total red herring.
True, that is likely to be a Chekhov’s gun. It made up far too much of last week’s episode to be ignored in the finale.
