Sounds like you’re missing or the reflect is being dispeled off the boss. If you have some sort of combat text enabled (e.g., MikScrollingBattleText), you should be able to see if your attack missed. If you don’t normally use any, you should probably enable the Blizz floating combat text for outgoing damage, just for this fight.
I can confirm that you need 8/10 for guild credit. And Baradin Hold is a cakewalk right now: about as much of a loot pinata as Archavon was at Wrath launch.

We have a “very nice” problem to solve here, guildmates!
Obviously, we need to make some room in the gbank for the mats. We could easily buy the max tabs in the gbank (hell, call the tabs Rasz1, Rasz2, Rasz3, etc.) and maybe put the mats there for viewing for a period and then maybe think of a way to divvy it up or after a certain period, do some sort of picking process or <insert great idea here>.
I believe the mats are from all professions, some larger than others, but a majority of them are Cata mats.

How many tabs can we have in a level 9 guild? (less than half way to 10)
Well, I see under “Guild Rewards” section of the game has the 7th tab listed for 10,000g and an 8th tab becomes available if we get the “Stay Classy” guild achieve which would be a major pain I believe. BTW, guild leader can only make the purchases, so Shin Kell should jump in here and let us know if it’s 10k apiece for tabs 5, 6 and 7, or if it’s a gradual progression in price.
Still have a few cut gems that are duplicates in Jcyeti’s bank…not sure whether to put them on the AH or see how many get used by us. I tried to set the tabs up by relative professions, some are combined because of lack of mats (e.g. - cloth, leather and engineering mats on one tab), but there are quite a bit of other mats to use. There are 7 maelstrom crystals that should be considered about in discussion, but the other stuff is pretty much first come first serve. I just ask that everyone take what they need at that moment, and not to hoard anything. I still am holding the 126k in gold until we can come to some sort of consensus for the best bang for the buck in future expenditures for the guild. I just don’t want to leave it there in case someone’s account got hacked and they found a way to get a good portion of it. My account has an authenticator, so for now, it should be totally safe.
I definitely think that anyone with access to more then a few 10’s of gold should be required to have an authenticator. As it is, I think most guild ranks are limited to 5g or less which is a tolerable risk.
Do you have any stuff from the vault that needs disenchanting?

I would like to suggest we destroy all the glyphs in the gbank. I don’t think anything in there costs more than a few gold, especially considering they were put in by Strongbird (who? right) when he was leveling. So they’re pretty old. Unless Awsm put some in there, let’s open up a few more slots for mats. Strongbird actually is the next closest max scribe. hmm.

Most glyphs sell for at least a few gold. IME you’d just be throwing money away, especially given how terrible Cairne’s economy is. I’ve been saying for a long time now that we just need someone to make a bank alt whose job it is to do nothing but clean out the bank, auction or vendor the items that aren’t needed, and re-deposit the proceeds. It seems like we’ve just never had any takers?
I’d happily volunteer, since this is something I’ve done before and I already use various auction-management tools, but I don’t have an Authenticator on my account (and probably never will, until they make it mandatory or let me put two Authenticators on one account). Of course, I’ve also never been hacked in three and a half years of playing the game, during which time I’ve also never to my knowledge had any malware that my antivirus software didn’t catch immediately, and being knowledgeable about how computers work I also have very safe browsing habits.
If you were willing to have me help out, you could even make the gbank-cleaner rank one my character didn’t sit at all the time: you could just move me to it when I actively needed to withdraw a large amount of items. That would drive the risk down to approximately zero.
As an additional option, I have two toon that only sell glyphs. They have the add-ons already set up to mass list and cancel glyphs. I haven’t been doing it lately, but would be willing to sell them for you.
These toons are in a bank guild, so I can’t just jump into BDL with them. My personal gbank is pretty full of crap too… one day I’ll decide to get that organized… maybe…
After reading Yeti’s post about DPS here, I sat down and took a good, hard look at Kalathan’s gear and stats. I realized that I wasn’t maxed out on hit or experitise.
Ashamed as I am to admit it, I’d never bothered taking advantage of the new Reforging option, so I took Kalathan over to the reforger in Ogrimmar and reforged a lot of haste into Hit and Expertise; in fact, I got her to the Hit cap without having to get the Glyph of Truth glyph. I also tweaked the glyphs a bit to match Yeti’s sample - there were 2-3 glyphs that I changed out.
My Retribution talent tree talent points were already almost an exact mirror (I think maybe there was 1 point that was different) so I didn’t bother relearning my talent tree.
I saw a definite improvement in Kal’s DPS output - an increase of about 800-1000 DPS immediately. I went through a non-heroic Halls of Origination run yesterday morning, and I ended up topping the Recount damage tree (in a group that included a mage) at just over 28% of the total damage.
Now I just need to get some more regular and heroic instance runs in to accumulate the Justice and Valor points that’ll help me upgrade my gear.
I created a toon, and bought a guild charter. This toon payed folks 5g to sign the charter, then kicked them all. Added one other RL friend temporarily so they could invite other bank toons of mine.
Currently the guild only has 3 toons in it - two glyph-sellers, a general bank/auction mule. But rather than just the individual banks it also has a gbank (with two tabs, IIRC).
Makes it easier to store larger amounts of random shit - due to my pack-rat nature on my main toons, they have very little bank space for anything other than bound items. And it’s hard to convince my main toon’s guild that they should dedicate valuable bank space to boar meat and spider silk I’m only keeping in case I decide to level a prof again on another toon…
If SFG is willing to keep our guildbank organized and current, that works for me unless someone else wants to volunteer. I’d prefer she have the authenticator (because I’m really careful and somehow got hacked once) but if we only keep her in the vaultmaster role when she needs it that alleviates most of the risk.
I saw Kalathan’s page, and I saw that Kal is over the hit cap by 175 and under the Expertise cap by 153. You can improve your DPS even better by shaving no more than 175 hit rating and putting some of that towards expertise to eliminate those dodges that can occur. OR, do get Glyph of Seal of Truth, exchange it for Glyph of Judgement and then you become 148 exp rating over, which then you can reforge all of your excesses towards mastery. Any leftover haste and crit that can go towards mastery should be reforged to that stat. I don’t think you’ll see another 800-1000 dps jump with this, but it should squeeze another 200-400 dps (WAG) IMO.
Again, Elitist Jerks seem to be the leaders in theorycrafting when it comes to maximizing DPS for Ret Pallies.

It shouldn’t have to happen very often. I can withdraw everything for the initial cleanup at one time, and then I should only have to go in again every couple of weeks.
I think Shin Kell handed over the GL role to Yeti, so for now he is guild leader and vault master unless he handed the reins back. So I’m fine with however you guys work it out. He may have already done enough cleanup for right now, especially with the new tabs.

Hellhound (4) - Guild Chat, Roster (Invite and Promote), Edit Public Note only, 10g/day + Repairs, 10 stacks per tab withdrawls (Most of our Dopers who group up should be here)
Legionnaire (5) - Guild Chat, 5g/day, 5 stacks per tab withdrawls
Ember Puppy (6) - Guild Chat, 1g/day, No item withdrawls
Ranks 1-3 BETTER HAVE have an authenticator, 4 should have an authenticator (maybe create a 4a (less withdrawl privileges for those dopers who don’t?)
Of course, we can change this, add more levels, use individual guild rep to bump up levels, authenticators, etc.
As I have told Bird and Skammer yesterday, I don’t have to be the Guild Leader unless you guys are comfortable with it. Actually, come to think of it, I should give it back to Shin Kell because I now I think of it as a loaned title to move the stuff around more easily since the cache was sent to one of my toons from Rasz. Not totally knowing what the intent was…So Shin, tell me what YOU want done.
