Yeti, I was looking at the mats for that shield again and it’s going to take longer than I thought to get the mats. I’ll have all the Pyrium I need for the Truegold with one more transmute; but then I need 30 each of volatile fire, air and water and then three days to transmute everything into the Truegold. Then I need 12 volatile earths and 30 elemenitum bars for the Hardened Elementium. So minimum of four more days for the transmutes plus however long it takes me to gather the volatiles, unless I decide to just buy them along with the elementium bars.
Skammer, I put my xmute Truegold at your disposal, as well as my xmute volatiles (tell me what you want though so I can go to the right zone). That should help you out. (I usually log in once/day just to farm something. Leather or volatile fires these days)
Moobird ran Deadmines and got 2 UGs! I feel like I’m getting more powerful:) woot!
The Truegold’s not a BOP or anything like that when you transmute it is it? Kalathan has the Truegold transmute, and could do one for you if you sent her the materials. That would eliminate at least one of the three days for the Truegold cooldown for you.
ETA: I see that 'Bird beat me to it, but my offer still stands.
Awesome, if I can impose of each of you to do a Truegold xmute for me it will only take me two days. I’ll probably end up buying a lot of volatiles though - I can collect the fires easily but I don’t have enough lifes to transmute into the others yet.
Maybe I can run our guild event on Monday with a brand new shield… 
Better yet Skammer, I can make the shield for you NOW (I do have all of the mats) and then just send back the mats (sans orbs) when they get made.

It took a hefty amount of questing tonight, but I got the BDL over the last little hump of XP. Heirloom cloaks for all!

Just putting out an APB for the best melee DPS Meta gem out there: Reverberating Shadowspirit Diamond. The drop rates are quite low, but if any guildie finds one, please let me be the first to offer what I can afford to get it. 10k in the AH is a bit steep, but I might be able to scrounge up 5k, unless we find a way to make such a purchase using RR (Rasz’s Reserve). Then I would have no problem pumping these gems out for our melee DPSr’s.
Not too many of us were able to make it on last night, but we queued for a random Heroic and got put in Deadmines, which was perfect because it’s one we still needed the guild achievement for. I’d done a few of the bosses on Keyne but not the whole thing. Shin Kell brought Reins and was a good guide for the fights, we managed the whole dungeon without a wipe. Unfortunately the bracers I want didn’t drop, so I’ll have to try again sometime. I also ended up about 300 rep short of exalted with Ramkahen, unfortunately, but two more dailies should take care of that. Then I have to decide which faction to grind next: I’m only neutral with Dragonmaw and I haven’t even encountered the Hyjal faction on Keyne yet, so I’ll have to do some questing even just to get enough rep to buy the tabard.
If you want to build Dragonmaw rep, there are 4 dailies close to each other that are fairly easy to knock off in 15 minutes or so, as well as the usual tabard you can buy. I did those for a few days to get my rep to the level where I could buy the enchant from their quartermaster.
I thought last night’s run went very well too. We did lose Kalathan on the first boss (I stupidly got myself pinned against the archway support and couldn’t move away from the wall of fire), and both Rottingbird and Cornballah died when Vanessa vanCleef exploded at the end of her final battle; but no wipes thanks to Shin Kell’s excellent instructions.
There were a couple of times when we were fighting the Defias trash mobs that I was having a hard time staying on target; the narrow spaces and the mobs darting suddenly about meant that there were too many times for my tastes when I suddenly realized that I wasn’t hitting anything.
I’ve only done enough Dragonmaw quests to get the portal from Org; I’m still neutral so the dailies are probably not yet available to me. I’ll probably just do enough questing to open the dailies and get the tabard. I could quest through the zone but 1) I’ve already done it once on Kene and 2) I’d rather spend my time gathering herbs and doing archeology, since I’m working on the skeletal mount now.
If nothing else, roll an alt in the BDL! That way, you can get a feel for the guild without dropping the real-world cashy monies just yet.
Well now I’m all curious. I also also tempted to roll a Tauren Druid called ManeOldLady. 
If I may suggest… Just keep transmuting everything to Air. You can then sell the Air and buy whatever other Volatiles you need. Otherwise, you’re essentially throwing the extra profit away.
Yikes, I forget how bad Cairne’s economy is sometimes. The recipes are down to 2-3k on my main’s server and faction now. Something to keep in mind–check out the price of the actual gem cuts. By me, the cuts themselves are very cheap (often cheaper than other meta cuts). *If *Cairne is the same it might be worth your while to just buy the cut metas and hold off on the pattern until it’s reasonably priced. (E.g., if raw metas cost 100g and the cut metas cost 120g, you’d have to cut 250 meta gems before even breaking even, assuming that prices stay constant.)
The metas for that particular cut are at 300g. I did buy one at 240g a week or two ago.
My alt Destroyercon is now doing dual farming…Herbalism and Mining. Kind of fun just flying around (he’s at lvl62) and picking up virtually every yellow dot he sees. He’s at about 370 right now for each profession, so if you need anything from that level on up, just holla. Also got 4 stacks of sungrass and 8 stacks of Khadgar’s Whisker for anyone who wants something on the low level side…actually about a stack of anything below that level.
Yikes, what are the raws going for? You guys should all move to Area 52–there’s such a huge imbalance in favor of the Horde that our economy’s great. 
Can I hit up one of our tailors for an Emerald Bag? I have the lotuses, but I’m seeing all sorts of changes on getting the moonshrouds. If someone can list the mats as they currently stand, I’m sure I can acquire. Unless there is a major cooldown involved that prohibits you from doing something else.
Ran BH last night after holding onto TB. Unfortunately we didn’t finish, I was 2nd dps with just under 10k (and I was really pumping out spells) Guess that’s just not enough from everyone. I’ve offed him before with less, but this group wasn’t doing too well. Too bad, I’d like to see more drops from him and maybe get one of those gear tokens! I’m one trinket away from being out of 333s, with only 2 factions to get exalted with (not counting Hyjal which doesn’t get me any good gear.) But Dragonmaw has a neck piece and Hellscream has a trinket (and 2 mounts…gotta have!)
Speaking of Hellscream, I realized I was honor capped, so I bought 2 pieces of honor gear and wow did my PvP get better! I survived way longer than before with no resil. I mean as a mage if they want to kill me, I’m gonna get killed. But if I can get lost in the pack, I can put out some decent damage and my sheeps and counters breaking their concentration (and casting) help nuke those Allies down!
Didn’t the pull the CD off of Moonshroud in late Wrath? IIRC any tailor should be able to make as much of it as you need.
I can’t look up the mats from work, Bird, but I’ll be on tonight and Kene can easily make the bag for you if you have the mats. Wowhead should tell you what you need. I just made one for Keyne recently.
Emerald Bag takes 4 Moonshrouds and 6 frost lotuses.
The Hyjal Expedition Bag (36 slot) takes 20 Bolts of Embersilk and 40 Volatile Lifes, if those extra 4 slots are really worth it.
