Darn, I was logged in for about an hour last night but never switched over to Kene (too busy digging up useless artifacts). I’ll do it tonight though.
I confirmed for the guild event tonight, but you should probably consider me tentative. My parents are visiting and although they usually like to just watch TV in the evenings (so I can play WoW in the room with them) they’re always a chance we might actually do something.
I didn’t see the guild event on the calendar last time I logged, but I hope/plan to be on tonight for our run.
Stonecore is the only heroic left for the guild achieve and the banner of unity. I think I would rather do a random for the valor points, but this would be my second choice or if we could pull a doubleheader tonight or see who can do the later run for the achievement.
What does the Banner of Unity do for us?
I want to try to be there tonight, but the chaos that is work is probably going to keep me away from playing for the fifth night in a row.
It gives a small bonus to rep gains (and maybe honor and something else) for a short time when you use it. The banner has your guild symbol on it (from your tabard), so it’s fun to use for screenshots.
Don’t we already have something like that? What am I thinking of?
Banner of Cooperation I think is the lower-bonus version of this.
Banner of Cooperation is 5% more experience, honor and rep.
Standard of Unity is 10% more.
I will very likely not be on again tonight. Just finishing a 55 hour work week, and I accidentally dropped my computer the other day when I moved it into a different room. The CPU heatsink/fan came off so I’m concerned about turning it back on before having a chance to thermal grease-the-CPU/reseat everything–which I don’t have the energy for tonight.
Well, as an update, my power supply AND 6950 are both borked. I went out and bought a new power supply and everything else came to life, but the video card just comes on and sounds like a jet engine, while not outputting any video signal. I tried my old 5770 in it’s place and everything boots without a problem. Now I have to figure out if the 6950 is covered under warranty or not, and if so, how to send it in for repairs. grumble

Hey Skammer, I noticed your shaman is close to my abandoned warrior. I went ahead and tanked him out and was hoping to run some dungeons with you. His gear is pretty bad, and I don’t quite know what I’m doing, but after a bit of checking out my skills and placing them on action bars, I’ll be ready to run wit’ ya.

Heh, and my farming alt (destroyercon) is right there at level 66 too. Another ret pally for the ease of farming, he is well geared with heirlooms and BS/JC items. We could use these three to rack up the lower level guild achievements in dungeons!
Also, I should be on tonight for the Monday Night run…just haven’t been on lately to see who signed up.
Awesomesauce! I’m at 65 right now and healing is EZmode, so an undergeared tank is no problem. If you haven’t already, you should pick up a BoA cloak from the guild vendor in Dalaran which adds 5% to your XP (in addition to any other heirlooms and the guild XP bonus). I’ll be online tonight and up for runs on any of my toons.
ETA: Isn’t warrior the only class we still need to get to 85 for the guild achievement?
I believe so. There is an incredible lack of Warriors in BDL. Probably because they suck, amirite Guns?
I’ve actually been thinking about leveling my own Warrior, but he’s sat at 26 forever.
My second-oldest toon on Cairne is a warrior and he’s been in the BDL since the very beginning. However, he’s my longtime bank mule and is only level 4. I’d hate for him to have to change out of his tuxedo.
We actually do have an 85 Warrior but not in good enough standing for credit. Crugel is the name, must be Gugel’s alt. I got Strongbird an heirloom chest, and I should add the cloak too. (plus flying, flight license, a mount, a dual spec, and some bags)
