I was sorry I had to miss out on the guild group yesterday, hope you guys were able to get a second run in. What is the official start-time for Monday night activities? Are there enough people with availability to try an 8:00-8:10 server (CST) start?
Traditionally the guild event start time is at 9:00 on Mondays. I’m almost always around by 8:00 if you want to do an earlier run. Normally I use that time for dailies/questing, PvP, or my alts.
I’ve also decided to move my main, Corn, to a progression guild. Massa, Grape and the others should still be around quite a bit though.

If everyone who left BDL for a raiding guild was still in BDL, we’d have a raiding guild. 
Honestly I’d love to raid and chain heroics with you guys, but I can’t make Mondays anymore because of a class. Maybe during summer or next semester. Hopefully we can pull a good group up eventually.
I think everyone who has left still has one or more alts in BDL. Only a few have scheduling conflicts on Monday due to the move. Dries those eyes Skammer, we’re still coming along. 
Maybe we need another date/time survey to see if another day would get better attendance than Mondays - 9pm (doubt it, but might be worth a try) Besides Jragon, is there anyone else that can’t make Mondays but can make another day?
Speaking of which, I won’t be around tonight. Holidays.
Moobird is working on exalted with Dragonmaw and a new set of gloves. Can I say how amazingly easy it is to do the dailies in Birdform! Should’ve started much earlier.
Unfortunately, if we keep raid time the same, I won’t be able to make it half the time anymore. I just took a night shift position with a 7 days on, 7 days off structure, cutting me out every other week from anything past 8pm EST.
Of course, I’ve only logged in once in the past 2 months anyways (waiting for 4.1 to drop before coming back–yay burnout) so you guys may already have a better healer than I lined up.
Thought we had a good heroic run last night. It was our Paladin all-stars group again: Massmoo tanking, Keyne healing, and Yeticalya, Kalathan and Prodito (the only non-Paladin in the group) doing DPS.
It was my first run through Heroic Shadowfang Keep, and I enjoyed it. Only one awkward moment - Mass didn’t realize that Keyne was still looting on a lower level and pulled the next mob. EVerything else went smoothly - although Yeti stood in front of the “pew pew” on the last boss and went down. 
I do have a question about that first boss though (can’t remember his name) When he does the ‘death grip’ thing where everyone’s hovering in the air and having their health drained — my health dropped down to 1 HP both times and I thought I was dead for sure, but I didn’t die. Is that just how his mechanic works? To put strain on the healer after he’s done to try and top everyone up before he does it again?
Yeah. Immediately after he does the “down to 1 hp” thing, he channels a “heal everyone including myself” spell - the standard tactic is for someone to interrupt the heal channel AFTER it’s ticked one time; the mechanic punishes people with a too-jumpy interrupt trigger finger and healers who work too hard at getting everyone to full every time.
For healers who don’t have great gear, keeping DPS topped off during that fight will cause you to go OOM too soon - I made that mistake the first few times I ran it. Also if you don’t interrupt the heal within a tick or two, you’ll never get the boss down and again your healer will go OOM. When he gets down to about 10% he starts doing big AoE damage and if you’re low at that point the group is in trouble.
That was a nice, quick and efficient run (of course skipping two bosses will do that too!).
I’ve noticed a few Cataclysm Dungeon Hero (all Heroics) achievements on the news feed. As we get better equipped, does anyone else want to try for the Glory of the Cataclysm Hero?
I found this resource which should help us with the hows. We may need a bit more gear, but I think we can get some of them out of the way while we run on Mondays.
I’d definitely but up for that until we can manage a raid group.

I’m up for it. Recently I’ve been able to stay on long enough that I’m still logged in when the guild run finishes, so I’m a little more confident in my ability to join without having to drop mid-run.
I put a couple of lockboxes that I got while running Wrath dungeons over the weekend in the first tab of the guild bank. Any guild rogue is welcome to unlock them and stick the contents in the guild bank.
Hope folks are up for some Burning Doggie stuff tonight. Maybe we should focus on who most needs to gear up for raiding and focus on getting them the gear they need.
Yeti, I sent you mats last night for the healer plate chest piece. It takes three orbs, though, so if you don’t have those just let me know.
Pretty sure I have the orbs…you’ll see it in your mailbox before tonight’s run.
I’m down for tonight. Moo can tank, or dps if someone else wants to tank. I’ve been trying out my cat dps lately, since my feral gear is much better than my balance. Even with all the dodge, the AGI makes me hit a few nice dps spikes (35k damage on occasion!)
Brings up a very intriguing question about whether I should start gathering my 3rd set of gear (bear, cat, & balance) Maybe I should bank my balance gear until my tank set is more complete since I’m getting better dps as a cat in bear-gear.
I did <10k in BH as cat, but when the tank bailed, I tanked the next attempt and succeeded. (yay!) (That fight is much more about the healers than I first thought)
