I really wish I could, but playing on Thursday nights for more than a few minutes risks serious marital conflict.
I’d be game for it if I meet the needs - you can offer up Makig, gear may be borderline. Let me know if there’s a spot for me 
Bird, I can be on with Kalathan, if you need another DPS – or even tank, as long as any pre-fight instructions are clear (i.e., Tanking For Dummies™ ).
I’ve checked with my wife, and she has no problem with my doing a run. She’s probably going to be asleep at that point (9:45 - 10:00 our time) anyway. Just whisper me tonight and let me know if you need me or not.
Captain C had a good thought last night; as long as the HH boss is available we should get a group together to chain run him seven times for the guild XP bonus. Even better if we remember to use our banners.
We got our allotment of dungeons this week by chain running HH. Using the banner didn’t seem to help, but we got xp and g. We’re about halfway to glvl 21 and the raid-summon.
Kalathan joined me into the FL raid last night, where we took down Beth, Rhyio, Bale, and Stag. We had a couple of attempts at Rag, but describing every fight took a bit of time so we were running up to our end-time when we got to him. We probably would have gotten it, but just ran out of time. I didn’t notice if Kal picked up any gear, except for the shoulder token that was not for him :smack:
(Not that he wasn’t allowed to get it, it was not for Pallies, but no one in the group could use it so it was tossed anyway.) I actually think we would’ve done better with Makig than one of the guildies (who I’d never seen), but I hope that next time, we can get more BDLers in so we can get experience to start doing FL on our own.
(and woot, I’m up to 20 Eternal Embers, I should be able to finish up next week, and then do the solo-Nexus which looks tough. Then I get my starter-legendary-staff)
I just realized that with Kal joining your run, he won’t be available for us on Monday. And he’s our tank!
I didn’t get any gear as such - the only plate that dropped during the run was healer plate - but the run did increase my reputation with the Avengers of Hyjal from Neutral to Friendly, so I could buy upgraded DPS and Tanking cloaks from the quartermaster.
And yeah, felt like a total idiot/lame-o when it was pointed out that I’d picked up a shoulder token that pallies couldn’t use. I’d never seen one before, and when I saw that the who-can-use description started with “Death Knights, …” my brain must have leapt to the assumption that it was a plate-wearer’s token. As it turns out, there ain’t any such thing. I think it was Death Knights, Rogues, and I can’t remember the third. None of which were classes represented in the group, so at least I wasn’t stealing it from someone who could use it (I would have quickly traded it to someone who could use it if there’d been someone).
But I had a great time – new content, new bosses. I think I did pretty well; didn’t annoy anyone that I know of :-). Not used to being that far down on the damage charts though – when I run 5-man heroics, I’m usually at the top.
I’ve been on the past few weeks and only been able to run z-dungeons. But if we have numbers I can tank.
Runestar, With the dps from the regulars, it was more important to stay alive. Which you did well with. I died so many times through Firelands. Thankfully being a ranged dps, I can get away with some mistakes, but not many:D
But we had that one time! When we killed a boss! Waaaaahhh.

I forgot to set up a guild event for this evening. If we have a group, we’ll do something - probably won’t achieve critical mass for a raid but you never know.
I didn’t get much PvP done this weekend (went to a movie on Friday night), so I need to grind out some arena matches if anyone is interested in that (Yeti? Bird?)
I had an extremely busy week and weekend…I was on a couple of days late at night this last week.
I’m game for FL, BH, ZA/ZM or Arena; 2v2 or 3v3 or if we got a couple more…5v5!
We can drop the current 3 man team (since we haven’t heard from Lurks in quite a while) and make a new one, if it’s Kene, Bird and I. It would be nice to try to get the 1550 rating on 3v3 for the next level of pvp gear.

Sorry guys, I forgot to mention, my subscription lapsed. I’ve been having the bulk of my homework due on Tuesday, which makes Monday nights excessively busy, leaving me no time to raid. Just thought I should let you know, even if you weren’t expecting me.
We didn’t really do anything last night to speak of. I tanked for a quick Headless Horseman run, then Kene and Yeti started their 2v2 PvP. The rest of us were standing around – waiting, I think, for Bird to finish his Firelands raid, since he’s our most experienced tank.
Sadly, his raid was taking longer than (I think) he expected. I looked at my clock, and realized that it was already 10:45 my time; so even if we started a run, I’d have to bail before we got very far. So I logged out, checked the World Series game, and called it an early night.
Hopefully we’ll have better luck next Monday.
Yeah, took us an hour, (only 3 wipes - setup is a bitch on that fight for PuGs - we had to pickup 3 people giving us 3 mages!).
It’s funny to say that I’m the most experienced tank. I know nothing of tanking in FL. I should read up a bit on it. In fact we all should. There’s a great resource on Icy-Veins with instructions for all three roles.
Let’s plan on hitting Shannox (again, right?) and Beth’tilac next Monday. (attendance permitting.) I’ll actually assume we’ll need to PuG to fill up the group,but last night’s Rag-run had us pickup a few dps and it didn’t take too long. Unfortunately they weren’t all great, but as long as the people are patient, we can still make it a good time. I’ll try and ask my other guild for alts who’d want to come.
Or does this make anyone uncomfortable?
Maybe a different night is needed for our raid?
Jas09 said that the couple of folks from his guild who ran with us before would be willing to do so again. I have them on my friends list, so if we just need a couple of dps we can check and see if they are available at that time.
We can try that again, but I don’t think it’ll change much (except for Jragon).
We could also open up guild membership to non-dopers, but I don’t like that idea.
Since our runs occur on End-Of-Week-Monday’s for only 2 hours, we’d be best at just PuGging alt-raiders. After a couple weeks, we’ll be able to get some ‘regulars’. (Though, what will we say when they ask to join the guild?)
I think our best bet is to pull alts from my other guild or from Shin Kell’s. (ETA:Or Jas09’s)
I just don’t want to take any liberties here.
Mine and Shin’s is the same (we are in the same main raid group - or, were, before I had to take a break). There are certainly alts in the guild that would run, including some of the folks that ran with us a few weeks ago. Skammer should have the list, including the raid leader, who would be happy to help you guys fill out a PuG FL run if she’s online.
Maybe a good idea to advertise this on the guild channels for Skethyl Brewing Company and maybe KA (Rottingbird’s guild), with players they know well enough?
