Raid Night Tonight…Confirm your invites ASAP before I start the PUGging process.
We went 4/8 on DS10 last Friday…the group wasn’t as strong as the previous two weeks, mainly cause I pugged a druid who sounded good on paper, but didn’t know the fights and didn’t have Vent…that’s my fault. But Kal did a great job tanking and stuck around longer into the run, but we eventually ran into the problem of replacing those who had to go…Cairne was very quiet and unpopulated because of Easter weekend, and I could not pug anymore replacements after 2 hours into the run…so we called it. Next week should be much stronger with the return of more BDL’rs and I have a good idea of past KA guildies and other pugs who are much stronger, so next Friday’s run should be more along the Faceroll variety…
Yeti was right! we went 8/8! A nice collection of Doggies/KA/Delirious. But the grey lining to this silver cloud was that we had too many at the start. Don’t let it discourage those who sat. You’ll get priority next week.
So grats to all. I got 3 great drops, 2 trinkets (was still using the Brawler’s Trophy from the beerfest holiday event:) ) and the tier gloves (3/5). I saw Cornballah get a few great drops too. (welcome back!)
Aye, it was a great run. We one shot the first four bosses (the first boss, I honestly thought was easier as a healer than some of the DF bosses, though I suspect a huge part of that was that our group was competent and many DF runs are…less so :p). The second half of bosses could have gone better, particularly on my (Rahmon’s) part. I had not run the second half of DS in LFR yet so all of the fights were completely new to me. I had read about some of the mechanics at icy-veins and wowinsider, but reading and doing are quite different.
I forgot to grab the healer buff on Ultraxion both the wipe attempt and the successful follow-up (and the wipe attempt died at the very first heroic will because I stupidly thought the DBM 5-4-3-2-1 countdown was for the spell itself, not when to push the button, so I pushed heroic will about a second too soon and came out of the normal realm right when the spell hit), stood in Blackhorn’s frontal cone more times than I can count (I don’t have an excuse for that one–I just always seemed to land smack in the middle of the widest part of the cone due to my inattention), and just didn’t plain get what I was supposed to do on Spine the first time on it (thus died in the nuclear explosion thingy). Madness was actually fairly prosaic after Blackhorn and the Spine for me. Happily, I got the t13 pants token this run which was a nice upgrade (and Yeti was nice enough to purchase a JC recipe for my epic yellow gem to fit in one of it’s gem slots).
Incidentally, I was the absolute moron who, without thinking about it, hit DE for that BoE plate drop…and won. facepalm My only excuse for that is that I’m used to DE’ing everying in the dungeon finder because there is literally only one upgrade remaining in the whole of the Hour of Twilight dungeons (damn you Jaina, drop the healer shield already), so it was habit. Needless to say, I’ll either be passing or greeding from now on in LFR and normal raids.

My dps was not up to normal on those first 4 or 5 bosses until I realized I was wearing my chef’s hat.:smack:
That was the first time I completed Blackhorn and Spine fights, and I seemed to be running around a little too much with the barrages, and sappers going on…I did get the t13 helm upgrade and a dps ring on that run though…hopefully everyone got something during that run.
As for sitting out, Kailua and Glenn graciously sat out…it seemed that we had 9 confirmed and 3 or 4 tenatives (5 minutes before start) which turned into 12 confirmeds by the time the invites went out…slightly confusing when everyone was asking for the raid invite right at 9:00, we actually got started at 9:04!
I will volunteer to be on standby if we have that situation again…I could fill in for Kal (who already signed up) if he goes in as dps. Elfder and Blindarrow (our two best dps’rs last Friday) also signed up for this coming Friday…so sign up early if you intend to be there!
Yeah, I wanted to make sure that I got into this Friday’s run.
I’m going to be travelling for a week or so starting next Monday, which means no WoW or any other PC gaming for that time, so I want to get my “fixes” in while I can.
Khaal had posted our boss fights on World of Logs, and I see Elfder got ranked in the fight with Hagara!
Also, I meant that I would be on standby if Kal started on dps and left early because of time constraints…then I could step in.
I hope nobody minds that I took a couple things from the Herbs tab to level my alchemy. I tried to make a deposit as best I could to level things, but it was for a (relatively) good cause!
What times are the raids normally?
Wow 155th worldwide for Combat Rogues on that fight. Have to remember to grats him online. I’ll never get ranked on Rottingbird. Even the lowest ranked arcane mage has the legendary staff from Firelands. And I’m still 7+ weeks of clearing firelands to complete it.

Yeah, Jules…use the herbs…my farm alt has extra herbs and ore on hand, so I would replace anything taken…help yourself and convert some over to flasks and inferno ruby upgrades whenever possible.
Actually Bird…that would be a worthwhile achieve to get! I’ll supply the herbs as best I can…you guys turn them to flasks…Jasmine, Cinderbloom, Heartblossom and Whiptail are usually the easiest ones to get.
I just found out today that my son (who is in high school band) is doing a performance tonight, so I downgraded myself to tentative status, because I do not know when I will be back with any certainty…therefore, I passed the raid mod privileges over to Moobird and Kalathan. Good Luck, you guys!
So our guild bank has been hacked:( Shin? Can you jump on sometime this weekend and lock the gbank down to a couple withdrawals on every tab until we get it figured out?
All the tabs have max withdrawals (5-10) of all our highest level gear. I’ve opened a ticket and I’ll keep us informed.
The log should show who made the withdrawals.
It doesn’t - all it shows is “Unknown” made the maximum number of withdrawals from every guild bank tab.
Presumably, whoever hacked one of our BDL member’s accounts then deleted the character afterwards to try and cover their tracks.

So someone was hacked, so everyone should check out their emails. And Shin will be getting all our stuff.
That’s a bummer…I see Shin was on within the last day, so hopefully he/she is aware of it.

How about we demote everyone (except you) to ember puppy and then only promote those with authenticators (i.e. - have the corehound pup) since we do not know which toon/account it was…it would prevent the possibility of getting hit a second time from the same account.
Nevermind, I found it. Everything under Vaultmaster can’t withdraw anything. I’ll restore it on Monday, or tomorrow if you guys would like.
