I’ve been thinking about how many of you I rarely see “in person” ingame, due to varying levels, and I think that might become more of a divide as some of us move to Outland leveling. We had so much fun at the last party, that I suggest we think up another cross-level guild event for the near future.
Demo had some genuinely subversive ideas at one point, something about all going somewhere and doing something crazy, but my tiny brain can’t remember. Anything along those lines, or other group activity would be fun. We could even fish again, and Omencaller could be the go-go dancer to entertain us. Or we could all run a low-level instance in some crazy way, I don’t know enough about the game to come up with suggestions.
I’ve always been a fan of nekkid Deadmines runs (or any other instance below about level 30). No gear allowed! No spells except for healing and buffs. You always wanted to work up your Unarmed skill, right? And remember, there’s no death penalty when you’re skyclad.
That wouldn’t be much worse then my full armor anyway! (although I did break 500 armor yesterday, thanks to whomever put the leather kits in the guild bank).
Just to toot my own horn:
I went through level 53 in 2.5 hours of playing time. A little rested xp and a few quest chains that were easy and gave lots of xp. One which you had to go to all the major cities and pick up something which was super easy for a mage with ports.
So 54! only 4 more till outland…how much is that 60-mount? 500? Time to start AHing like mad.

I think I missed Children’s Week! I haven’t had a chance to sit down and play for a while and I forgot about Children’s Week…is it still on or is it over?
I think Children’s Week ended yesterday - it started May 1 and I think it’s only seven days (like most weeks, I guess).
Bird, I’ve given up trying to level with you and now I’m going to tell everyone I’m just casually going at my own pace while in reality I’m secretly competing with Athina.
Also, I’m gonna look to do ZF again tonight; I got the Riding Carrot quest this time and I still want the Mojo Mask.
Don’t get me wrong everyone, I’m not leaving, just having Graphic card issues, I’m also on ym last couple weeks of School (=tons of projects) and swamped in makeup work after missing 3 days from carnegie (we get a lot of work). It’s all winding down and I’ll be back soon, hopefully the gfx card issue is resolved by then (if it isn’t already). I like my guildmaster position, but if anyone really, really, wants it I’m not totally adverse to giving it away once I’m back however.
Cool, Jragon, I think we were afraid you were dropping out.
I was on each evening this weekend and there were only 3-4 guildies on each time. Are we losing steam? I hope not – I’m looking forward to working together on more higher-level dungeons and raids when we get that far.
Also, to share in a bit of my own frustration – I’ve run Zul’Farrak 4 times this week and still haven’t had that damn Bad Mojo Mask drop. I may try again tonight. Luckily as a healer it’s easy to get into a PUG. (Although I did get to go full shadow-rage in one run the other day - kept pulling aggro off the tank )
I just learned that at level 60 we can solo the daily fishing quests in the Outland! Has anyone done any of those?
There are some fun rewards, like mini-pets, useful fishing gear, and valuable rare items. And you can do the daily quests, no matter how low your fishing level is. Check it out here: http://www.elsanglin.com/daily_fishing_quests.html
I needed a bit of a break from the Hellishness in the Peninsula, and I think it’ll be fun to mix up questing and fishing games every day.
Especially when you’re leveling in Hellfire. God, I loathed Hellfire Peninsula on my high-level otherserver toon…especially when you’re just innocently killing red orcs and suddenly hear that SCREECH! and feel the ground start to shake. Damn reavers…
Just in case anyone wonders – I’ll probably be out of action for the next 10 days or so; we’re going to visit my parents who only have dial-up connection. Plus, since it’s a family vacation, I probably should put the laptop away anyway.
So I didn’t want you to think I quit or anything - Kene will be back after memorial day. Most of you will probably be lvl 70 by then…
I hope I don’t miss the next fishing party or naked dungeon run!
I’ve been test driving the Dial-up vs satelite and the dial up has less lag in comparison. i know, most people shudder at the thought of dialup and playing online - but the lag is anywhere from 350-1200ms. The 1200 is mostly in heavily populated areas (Ogr) and peak times. Otherwise, my lat-line is in the yellow most of the time (compared to the 1400-8000ms on sat). I can actually get some quests done without dying all the time, so I should hopefully be catchin up to ya all soon!
Anybody interested in meeting up at the Blizz-con in October? MrAru saw the announcement on the splash screen and suggested I treat myself to a real vacation. I was off a lot last year, but it was pretty much all medically related, and we realized that we haven’t had a real vacation together somewhere fun in almost 5 years…I actually have vacation time I can use, and Ill have the money if i postpone doing the kitchen until christmas instead of my birthday, and I can make it my birthday present to myself=) Win-Win situation!
If anyone reads the pit they’ll know I’ve been having computer problems lately. I honestly don’t know if I’ll bother to install WoW again or not on the one hand I wasn’t getting into it as much as I hoped and downloading again is a huge pain. On the other I feel I should give it another shot and/or at least log on long enough to chuck all my gold into the Guild.
…hmmm I just realized how pointless this post was I guess it’s just to inform people I’ll probably be bowing out.
