the completely hijackable MMP

Couch again last night. Exhausted. :frowning:

Dr. Oz says to eliminate coffee to reduce stress. Ha! I’d be more stressed without my coffee. You can have my coffee when you pry it from my cold, dead but still jittery hands!

Sitting with my hubby in the waiting room of Jackson Oncology. I think I’m more nervous than he is.

We got the kiddos off to school this morning. They were loaded down. Daughter had backpack, lunch, diabetes kit and trombone: son had backpack, violin and trombone. Poor kiddos. Lunch for them today is salisbury steak: son is thrilled. Daughter is less than thrilled. That’s why she’s packing a lunch. Our school system is so good: they sent me a list of all the food they serve with carb counts, so she can eat school lunch with no worries.

Fingers crossed for you and hubby, Ann!!

Thanks to all for the job congrats! I signed and returned the letter of intent this morning, and also got the all-clear from my current company’s contracts division regarding any possible conflict of interest (I’ll be working for the same customer, so I figured better safe than sorry). So now when the final offer arrives I can accept it without any reservations. Phew! Now it’s just a matter of waiting for the customer to approve everything…it’s the gov’t, so this will be the slowest part of the process…

I was so tired and sinus-y yesterday that I went to bed early: I was asleep by 10pm, which is pretty unusual for me. I got a good 9 hours of sleep, though, and felt much better this morning. Though, like yesterday, I’m gradually feeling worse as the day goes on. Meh.

When I moved into my townhouse last June, there were two big ol’ plastic garbage cans in the corner of the back yard along with a beat up/unusable recycling bin. I finally got rid of them this morning! I timed my departure from the house to coincide with the arrival of the trash truck, to make sure that the guys (a) could/would take all of that plastic, and (b) understood that the garbage cans were garbage. I don’t know why it has taken me more than a year to start cleaning up this stuff, but it felt good to finally get them out of the yard! I still have a couple of planters and other decorative items to get rid of, both in the back yard and on the front porch, and I might actually do that this weekend. I guess seeing the front yard all cleaned up is the motivation I’ve needed to work on everything else outside.

I love House Hunters! I sometimes also watch the international version, but for some reason it’s not as interesting to me as the “regular” one. Maybe because I haven’t seen one in a country where I’d want to live yet. I watch way too much HGTV: Curb Appeal, House Hunters, Holmes on Homes, etc.

Yay for the job Missy!

Annie appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed for the hubby.

BooFae come over hear and let’s go shoppin’ at the furniture store that’s skeered of me. I bet we could get free shippin’ back to England.

I have done, well, nuttin’ today. Just don’t wanna. Need to figure out some food like substance soon cause tummy is commencin’ to rumble.

Every time I see the title of this thread it makes me think of a Hammacher Schlemmer catalog: “The Best Bread Machine,” “The Adjustable Lamp,” “The Perfect Hammock,” “The Completely Hijackable MMP”…

We’re done for now. Not ruling out lymphoma, but not ruling it in, either. Doc wants a better sample and more info. He goes next week for a PET scan and EKG, then they’ll go excise the lymph node and biopsy it. So at this point, he may be dealing with just an enlarged lymph node. His follow-up is in 2 weeks, so we’ll see where we go from there.

Now I have a $20 gift card to Piccadilly, and he and I are going on a quick date and stop to vote before the kiddos get home.

I still have my fingers crossed, Annie.

I have been slothful today at work. Well, I don’t really have anything jumping out at me and screaming, “I NEED TO BE DONE!!! NOW!!!” So I’m not doing anything.

Feel betters to the sickies, and congrats to the good-newsies…

Ditto here.

Was busy today teaching a friend how to make fishing flies. We both survived without needing to have any hooks removed from anything. I consider that a good result.

Home. **FCD **just got here, too. We’re going to settle up with the truck guy - taking him the proof of paid-off trade in along with some $$$. First bi-weekly truck payment comes out on Oct 1, so I have some extra money this month. Extra as in I’ll put it against another bill…

Off to truck place.

MWAH!

I just had a guy call about me designing a business card for him. Of course I was at work, discussing the details. :o But it’ll be $50 or so, so that’s good.

Keep on Truckin’ MOOOOOM!

Annie keepin’ appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed still for the best outcome.

Missy if it’s truly a bread machine, adjustable lamp and a hammock then it would be the best product evah!

Since I am a bachelor, I am makin’ myself Hamburger Helper Cheesy Mac [sup]TM[/sup] for dindin. Am I doin’ good doggio?

That is the best Hamburger Helper flavor, IMO. Do you add extra Velveeta? Mmm, Velveeta…

I’s tahrd. We have a new Problem Child at work (she has dust issues–namely she sees dust that doesn’t exist). The housekeeping exec staff has already declared her Enemy #1. Then Culinary Boy picked me up from work and we went to de grocery sto’ where he stalked the aisles planning meals in his head. Tonight we are having trout. Then I, deciding that it’s time for me to kick out those ten pounds I gained back (plus a few of their friends that have been hanging around), took a walk to The Olde Stone Inn and back. My ankles are saying “ow” now.

rosie’s sig to all!

The Foomobile is home once again. An ignition coil was partially fried when I blew out the ignition system Labor Day weekend, making the engine miss intermittently until the coil failed completely yesterday.

The good news is this was a no charge because it should have been caught last week. Og knows I need a financial break right now…

BBBobbio yay on the good news. That does not happen often re automobile repair stuff.

Rebo I’d have to admit I have Velveeta in da cave to admit that, so I’ll admit it since I have Velveeta in da cave.

BBBobbio, I trust since your first post this morning, you’ve put some clothes on…

It’s a quiet evening here. I think I’m going to assume the knit position and chill.

Whatever would make you want to believe that? I mean we are talkin’ about BBBobbio.

I share FCM’s concern for your clothedness, Bobbio. Cuz otherwise you owe us a whole bunch of stories.

Yay for the new fishie, Sticky.

Sounds like the appointment went as well as it could, Annie.

I’ve watered plants, been out for a walk, had a yummy chicken sandwich for dinner.

And now it’s time to knit and generally relax.

Hugs all.

I am packed. I am headed to Louisiana for a couple for a couple of days. Bleh.

Have fun while I am gone. Leave the place tidy please!
