Up, caffeinated, and sheveled.
I only woke once during the night. But I dreamed I kept waking, so again, I’m exhausted!! With luck as the prednisone works its way out of my system, I’ll get back to a relatively normal pattern.
I did a few more reps of the exercises than I’d been accustomed to doing, and my arm is hurting pretty bad this morning. So I had breakfast with a side of more-than-usual ibuprofen, hoping things will settle down. We shall see.
Meanwhile, breakfast has been ingested. Critters have been tended to, including cleanage of the cat box. I need to remember to take the truck today - **FCD **is taking the car to the fancy-pants car wash to get it done inside and out. Normally, I’d wash the car myself, but the inside of the windshield needs a good cleaning, and with my shoulders being as weird as they are, I flat out can’t clean the slanted glass surface. So we’ll pay.
Promised an overcast day today with maybe some rain later - we shall see. Rain would be nice. Meanwhile, I should be on my way - I’ll stop at a WaWa or some place for a sammich for lunch. Or maybe I’ll just run out at lunch time and get a burger. Dunno. But I can’t do any of that until I get my butt in gear.

Flytrap - the Brits don’t need a coffee pot on an alarm clock, we drink tea! Besides, who needs an alarm clock when you have two hungry kittehs who know exactly what time you should be getting up to feed them?
We bought two automated feeders for them and have started getting them used to the idea. Ophie views the whirring mechanism with deep suspicion but has come round to the idea and has been eating from the feeder.
Shadow watched it move and uncover a new portion of food, he even went as far as sniffing it despite the fact he lives on dry food because he won’t go near wet cat food. In a completely uncharacteristic move, this morning he sniffed Ophie’s wet food and then stuck his paw in it. Obviously he didn’t like the feeling because he leapt backwards and then danced around a bit as if he’d meant to do that all the time.
Ah, I see you did not read the description. It is a coffee OR teapot. International design!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffeinated, purtified, and brekkied, so no YAWN. ‘Tis 74 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of ONLY 87 (well brrr!) for the day and accordin’ to the weather PTB rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon and evenin’. I do not believe it will happen cause I’ve been told this for three freakin’ days now and nuttin’. :dubious:
I am slackin’ a bit this mornin’. I have to be in the north forty at nine o’clock and since it’s a closer drive from da cave I have started my irkday from here. I have actually checked email, entered some case notes, and have been checkin’ up on folks who are supposed to be doin’ have done already some on-line trainin’. Looks like some warnin’s with deadline dates shall be issued. Thus I get to be evile right up to offical retirement time. 
I shall now attend to a couple more tasks and then hit the road. Rah.

You people are all wrong - you need to get your morning caffeine the way God and nature intended it - from Diet Coke!! 
For the record, I don’t want to be at the office. My arm aches, I’ve been coughing, and my nose is drippy. Not to mention sheer exhaustion. But I don’t have any leave, so I’m stuck here. For whatever weird reason, I can’t just take a day off without pay. I don’t understand - my pay is an hourly rate and my vacation is earned at 6.16 hours per pay period. But I had to account for 40 hours last week, despite having no leave time and having to go to a Dr appt.
So confused…

It’s overcast and gloomy outside, and a chilly 61 degrees.
I had a rough night’s sleep, lots of weird dreams. In the last one I was tied to a bed and doused with lighter fluid while some biker bitch was trying to decide if she was going to light a match or turn me loose.
I don’t like coffee, so I agree that coke is the way to go for a caffeine fix. Tea is okay but when I just wake up and my choices are -
pour coke in glass
OR
grab a mug,
pull out a teabag,
put it in the mug,
try to remember to wrap string of teabag around handle so it doesn’t fall into mug,
heat up some water,
wait for it to boil,
doze off while waiting,
pour hot water over teabag in the mug,
burn finger pulling string out of mug,
wait for tea to steep,
doze off while waiting,
take out the drippy teabag,
squeeze in some honey,
stir,
stir some more,
keep stirring,
finishing a cup of tea to find a glob of honey in the bottom of the mug is icky,
doze off while stirring,
wait for tea to cool,
don’t wait long enough,
burn mouth,
or
wait too long,
cold tea with honey is YUK -
coke is faster.
BLURFI agree with Sari on the tea vs coke thing. i do love me some hot tea but it is a ritual.
At irk. The place is still here! They did survive without me for two days which is a good thing since I leave tomorrow for middle Jawja.
Of course all my A/P accounts are all screwed up due to my A/P person being out and about the die. She was moved to hospice yesterday. I will surely miss her.
Coffee pots over here also make tea. 
Anything that makes hot water can make tea, right?
Just found out that half of the office, literally, will be off the rest of the week. Three of us will remain. The boss is supposed to leave me work to do - he durn well better. Once I figure out the current mess on my desk, it shouldn’t take too long to finish. Theoretically.
Here’s how I make my morning tea:
- Turn on electric kettle.
- Go into bathroom. Take care of business and get dressed.
- Come out of bathroom. Pour hot water over tea bag in cup.
- Go back into bathroom. Brush hair and put on makeup.
- Come out of bathroom. Remove bag from tea and sweeten to taste.
Multitasking!

If they were used to make coffee as opposed to just heat water then the coffee ‘flavor’ bleeds over & makes the tea all nasty.

Got a different sort of coughing and wheezing going in the office today. For whatever reason (and I don’t want to know the reason) the boss came out of his office and went down the hall spraying air freshener. gag!! It’s finally beginning to dissipate. That or my nose is numb.
Lunch was from BK. Just gotta survive 3 anna half more hours. So tahred, so very tahred…
