The coughing, sniffling, sneezing MMP

{{{Butters & Hubs}}} - here’s hoping by the time you read this, he’s in good enough shape to get his butt kicked! Hang in there, my friend!!

I’m not going to say that my plague had almost passed because every time I do, it doesn’t. But I may have stepped back a wee bit from the brink. I think having a hot shower before bed helped break up that crap in my head. We shall see.

On the other hand, weird dreams set it. I’d gone back to see what Baby Engineer did to my desk, and I found a pair of these with amber monochrome monitors sitting there! Then it got really weird - the actress who plays Bernadette on Big Bang was there in some sort of elf costume helping to bring in a headboard festooned with sparkly garland. Nyquil messes with the brain.

No real plans for today. **FCD **has already left to deliver some parts. Roxy just got up, so I’ll need to feed her. We shall see what the day brings.

Happy Wednesday!!

Hubby started feeling crappy Monday evening, and is still coughing, feverish, without appetite, etc. But he said he might be hungry this evening, so I get to cook anyway. My mistake for mentioning tuna melts. Fortunately canned tuna was on sale.

Still have a bit of a cough since 4 weeks. Not sleeping, due to hubby’s coughing and sweating isn’t helping much.

{{{Butters and Hubs}}}

Made it to the horsepistol. Took exactly three hours. Hubs is better. Waiting on doctor and he is hungry. I do know that the Keys are not the real world. Up here if you don’t drive 70 mph you’ll get run over. I never drive over about 45 so that was scary.

Anyway, thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts. I don’t know what the plan is for today but if they are keeping him I will have to go back home and come back. I have a neighbor feeding the cat but no one can deal with Buddy as he is mean and likes no one. I left him in his compound with plenty of food and water and toys. We shall see.

Happy Hump Day!

Still snowing, supposed to get up to 39 today.

I got the pups off to daycare, the roads are clear but the alley is a mess. I wanted to park out front but of course, there is no parking in front of my house. There are six houses in a row with only one who parks out front, and there is never a space in front of us.
The white trash across the street have a whole mess of people living there. I wish they would move. I suppose I could call their landlord and complain, I doubt I am the only person in the neighborhood who wouldn’t be sorry to see them go.

I’m glad your hubby is feeling better Butters. I hope he gets to come home today that will make everybody happy. Poor Buddy, it’s hard to have a dog that doesn’t like other people. I’ve had a few, one who wouldn’t eat unless I fed her. She’d walk away from steak if I wasn’t the one giving it to her.

I dont know what I am goign to do today. I have a lot to do, a big list. I can’t do all of it, so I need to decide what is going to get done. I need to call DirecTV. I got a letter telling me I have 21 days after cancellation to send the equipment back, but I am supposed to wait for their instructions. Today is day 21 and I haven’t heard a thing. The online instructions would be helpful if I knew which option I am supposed to take. They may send me a box to pack up the stuff and send it back, OR I am supposed to take it to UPS or FedEX and they will box it up and send it back (but I think they are supposed to send me a label), OR I can take it to a recycling center.
I guess that will be my first call.

I took the equipment to a Direct TV office.

Saw the Dr., going to start new drug today and do the shocking tomorrow then he can go home. In a week to ten days he will have a mitral valve replacement. It is a smaller incision than the full open heart thing. Valve is causing AFib…I am going home this afternoon and coming back tomorrow morning very early. Hubs can go home tomorrow if all goes well. Heart surgery is scary stuff but much less invasive than in the past.

Happy New Year indeed.

Butters, at least it is something that can be fixed. Safe driving today and tomorrow.

Sari, does that include the dish antenna?

FCM, you have the best weird dreams…

Only 37F at 0830 here, supposed to get up near 60F today, still packing away and need to call the Chunk Junk folks and get them set. Outside of that the Wednesday paper Sudoku’s and some morning BLT’s are in my immediate future.

Butters been following the play by play. Thanks for the update. Hubby is hungry, that is a good sign. But sometimes being hungry in a hospital is a problem, cuz they won’t give you food. Tests and stuff. The last time I was in a hospital, they gave a real menu, and you could order. And the food was good.

So, I am not the only one with a weird dog. Mine won’t eat unless I eat at the same time. I am the same way. I hate to eat alone. I thought I was anthromorghing. Glad to see there are other dogs that are different.

As for me, I have been fighting a UTI. Got strange results from the last culture. So, this time I brought two samples (from the same urine stream) to two different labs. Fortunately, here in my area, we don’t need a doctor’s order. Just go to the lab and give blood or urine. I got the results yesterday. The labs differed in the name of the bacteria. So now I am even more confused. Gonna see a real doctor tomorrow. Not the ones who charge three dollars.

Also gonna get a shave and a haircut today.

Happy humpers!

Harmonicanmoon you need a nickname. Someone shall get you one soonest. Good luck with the UTI. Buddy is only 10 months old and came with his attitude. I am hopeful he shall get nicer in time. My last dog was just the sweetest little fellow and I wound up with this brute. :smack:

Moooommm I always get a tickle from your weird dreams. I seldom remember mine.

I have no idea if there is one of those near me.

And no MetalMouse, I don’t have to return the dish.
It is on the porch roof, so all I’d have to do is step out the bedroom window to get to it, and the roof is pretty close to flat.
Still not going out there.

Actually I don’t have to return any of it, just have to take it to be recycled Which I guess really means I could throw it out, but I won’t, because I am somewhat green. I may keep one of the remotes though, for the one I lost for the TV. I can use it to turn the TV on and off since the firestick doesn’t do that.
I had bought a new remote, but never set it up because I so seldom watch the TV in the living room. I think it is going to go upstairs to the office. I ordered a new set of irk phones so I can have a phone upstairs and stop using the living room as my office. Or maybe I’ll just get rid of the TV

Glad your hubby will be coming home tomorrow Butters. Let him heal a little before you give him a swift kick though.

The sun is shining and it’s stopped snowing.
I hope the alley isn’t too icy when I go to get the pups.

Direct TV hopes that whoever moves into the house will see the dish, and decide they must have Direct TV.

Stick a dollar in me, and pull down my arm. I’m a snot machine.

TV

Probably
although one wonders how many of the satillite companies will be in business in a few years
I’ve gone almost a year without satillite or cable and I don’t miss it at all.
Nothing on TV I want to watch anymore.

Am I spelling satillite right? I don’t know and too lazy to look it up.

{{{Butters hub}}}
I’m leaving in a few to go see my Surgeon. Scared. And anxious. This kidney has got to go, tho.
I felt good for the weekend all the way to yesterday. Feeling good made realize how bad I was feeling.
Cross your fingers, for me.

Good thoughts Beck

I went to the cafeteria and got a salad. Hubs is waiting on his lunch. He can’t get comfortable because the bed is too short. He is 6’6”. He will manage though as there is no alternative. Even still with the AFib he is so much better today.

satellite

Daughter is home so I’m free of Roxy duty - at least till **FCD **comes home and puts her to work.

Now to decide what supper will be tonight. Some sort of casserole, I’m thinking.

“Once he gets outta the horsepistol I’mma gonna put him in the horsepistol.”

Well, if the doc is so busy he doesn’t have time to eat mebbe you could run down to the cafe & grab him a snack.
Glad there’s a resolution plan & that he’s doing better.
Oh @#$%&! I was just asked to lead a group warmup tonight. What I do for my warmup is non-traditional so I need to find what I can lead them in.

Butters, my mom was one of the first patients in the country to have valve replacement (back in the 80s). She was in surgery for 6-8 hours, then kept in a medically induced coma for 10 days. I saw her after surgery–her face was yellow and I got silently hysterical. She recovered without a problem and lived 30 more years. Her chest was cut open from stem to stern. Nowadays it’s almost outpatient procedure. But it’s scary having your loved one go through it. I will put you and hubs on my prayer list.

Supper is a casserole of leftovers and other stuff. The ham and cabbage were leftovers. The N.O.T.s and onions weren’t. It’s in the oven, and the breadcrumb topping is added in about an hour, then back in the oven for 15 minutes. We should eat shortly after 5.

I’ve hardly done anything today, and I’m exhausted. Guess the plague is still kicking my butt. I’m sick of being sick, dammit! It’s not fair!!! <pout>
