The days are getting longer in the MMP

I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck. Waiting on the rapid test to finish percolating and drinking tea. I had a restless night and right now, breakfast doesn’t even sound good. Trying to keep warm and am thinking about going back to bed.

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

what cartoon was this? its my after 5 am bedtime sos yays boos and hope people get better for those that need any of the 3 …and what a cute kitty …!

Oh, thought id leave this here … I made a separate post about it but it sank like my cousin’s burnt meatloaf but yall might like it cause its funny as heck …

I gotta close tonight, then run an errand (gotta re-up & my connect works tonight, too.)

{ checks schedule } Oooooh! I’m spending all evening with InCrPoo! That means: 1a.) a fast close & we won’t be there all damn night, and 2b.) imma be all made-up & cute when I swing by my connect. I think last time I was in PJs and had simply tied a kerchief over my bed-head.

Not gonna deal with dragging the biiiiiiiiiiiig trash bin in the dark after all that, so gotta deal w/that noise before irk. Which means I gotta scoop both litter boxes AND take out the trash bags I’ve piled by the door.

Such woe unto me!

Feel better, sweetheart!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. off today. it’s 43 and drizzly, but I got “Princess Pretty Paws” out before the rain. I need to do things, but I have been stopped by a bout of feline paralysis.

Opus reunites Calvin with Hobbes

Feel better, red

I gotta do that. I also had to clean up some hornk from Bulimic Supermodel Catt.

Morning all. Got up to continuing rain showers, so decided that since I have been exercising religiously for the last three weeks some sinnin’ was in order, so went to Krispy Kreme and got…umm, er…some hot glazed donuts, which I have consumed with indecent haste. Probably go to the gym later today to repent my sins.

shady, here is the first cartoon in the series as doggio noted, you’ll have to find the rest for yourself. It’s worth the effort. https://twitter.com/bloomcounty/status/1402778303912681475

red, hope you get to feeling better soon.

OK, the sugar rush is hitting, so I guess I’d best be about the day. All y’all have a great Sunday.

Took a 2 hour nap and finally got warm. The test for the plague was negative (thank goodness!), but I figure I have a bad cold or the flu. We’ll see what tomorrow brings. Thanks for all of the good wishes. I have a feeling that once Sunday chores are done, sloth is in order.

Good morning everyone.

As per usual, the weekend has zipped by. It’s currently 47 degrees and raining and the weather reports are calling for sogginess over the next few days. I’ll have to double-check pass reports for Thursday and Friday. That will determine if I’m going to take a GOV or my Jeep to Wenatchee.

I didn’t call about the dumpster yesterday, so will do it today. If the company I have in mind doesn’t work, I’ll check with my trash company tomorrow. The plan is to have the dumpster dropped on Saturday morning and spend Saturday and Sunday loading it up. My son has already offered to help, so we’ll have another set of hands which will be nice.

Speaking of my son, he’s going to drop by for a little bit today on his way down from visiting my daughter, son-in-law and grandkids. I’m sure he’ll be wiped. Those little minions love their Uncle!

I don’t have much on the agenda except for the usual Sunday laundry. I may, or may not, go down to Home Depot and check out paint colors. I need to bring home some samples so I can see what’ll look best, but it might best be done AFTER the new furniture gets here so I can see how the colors play against each other. I will need to buy a bunch of white paint for the ceiling and fireplace though. Here’s a link to what my fireplace looks like so you can see why I would paint it. https://photos.app.goo.gl/h73Pkradm86HinMv6
I actually now hate that fireplace and would love to remove those too weird column bump outs which go all the way to the ceiling. I’d rather have the fireplace flush against the wall, with a mantle with some kind of stone or tile going all the way up. Something like in this link. https://www.stylemotivation.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/1-16.jpg

Excuse untidiness. You can see my husband’s VR computer in front of the media console. It’s gone now, thank goodness. I probably needed to vacuum too, but that’s a never ending job with a Siberian Husky.

Have read, but not retained much due to lack of sleep, again. I should get going and tidy up the kitchen, myself and start laundry.

I’d just buy 50 Roombas. But glad you got extra hands for the dumpster fillin’.

Just finished breakfast. No ‘cooking’ today. A packet of Knorr Hollandaise sauce, buttered low-carb toast, microwaved ham slices, and over-easy eggs (I guess that counts as 'cooking). Wifey liked it.

Not available, unless I make it from scratch, or order from a store that imports American foods. Ranch is fairly unknown here. Sour cream might work, though. And it tastes better than mayo, which I don’t really care for so much.

MetalMouse, Doggio - Thanks for the links to Bloom County. After the past few days, I could definitely use a Dandelion Break.

Hubby’s sitting outside with the patio heater. I’ve chosen to go inside where it’s warmer, as it quickly cooled down once the sun got too low.

Opened a bottle of white wine for a recipe, so now I have to finish it. Probably not today.

red, hope you feel better. Plague or no plague, being sick’s no fun.

Unsolicited advice feel free to ignore or set me straight! IANA CPA

Do you contribute to an IRA? If not you can still contribute up to 7k per person iirc to an IRA account. Take it from savings plunk it in an IRA and immediately reduce your tax burden?

Oh no. I hope you feel better soon!

This is lovely. Thank you!

It’s my dad’s birthday, so we’ll be doing something for that later. I need to tidy the house, but that’s also in the later bucket right now.

Happy Sunday all.

You truly live in Paradise. Ranch dressing is the spawn of Satan.

Guess what I saw when I went to church today? We had greeters with signs on the other side of the street, telling us “GOD HATES FAGS” and letting us know that we are on the way to Hell! Yep, it had been a while but the Westboro Baptist Church was there in full force. There’s another church, South Knollwood Baptist just a few blocks east of our church, and their service starts earlier so I suspect they went there and picketed first, then came to us. It’s been a while since the WBC “greeted” us so I can be assured that my congregation is still doing something right. There were about eighten or so of them today.

Now I am home and discovered that the dog ate my lunch. I had some of last nights pizza I’d made out on the counter and came in to find the bag, the tray, the spatula and so forth were on the floor. I really need to put up a camera because I can’t imagine how a critter with short legs like a dachshund managed to snag the stuff off of the counter. He ate the last two pieces! Mauser is NOT getting supper tonight, he’s already got a little overweight.

Two of my three favorite comics were Bloom County and Calvin and Hobbes. Remember when the Rolling Stones came to Bloom County to play for Milo’s class?

I dislike them profoundly. I saw them show up at a military funeral a few years back. There were some lovely bikers there presenting them from hassling mourners.

I’ve never had a problem with Nelson reaching the counter baker. Mauser is a one talented dachshund.

I still feel like crap. I haven’t even done yesterday’s dishes yet. I get up long enough to take more meds, do a small task and go back to sleep for a couple of hours. I emailed my boss to tell her I wouldn’t be in tomorrow. I’ll call the doctor’s office for an appointment. Time for another nap.

missred, I wish I could help out while you are under the weather. My sister helped me so much this past year and I want to do something for my friends. Just now I am going to my sister’s house to feed the cats, scoop the litter and bring in the paper and mail, because yesterday she and my BIL left on a trip to Ecuador, birdwatching. It was canceled last year and she was afraid it might get stopped again.

/waves/ We weren’t members of the Patriot Guard but we went on many missions with them. I hope things didn’t get so nasty you had to hear the bikers sing. Some of us don’t have very good singing voices.

I shouldn’t have laughed at that cause a pilfered lunch is never funny…except when it is.

red, feel better soon. Being sick sucks. Does Nelson help you nap? Warm fur always comforts me when I’m not feeling well.

It’s warmer today, mid 50s but that’s still too cold to mess around in the yard much. I’ll probably leave the dragging heavy things around until tomorrow, I have stitching to do today.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone!

Did my penance at the gym, shoved a few weights up and down and then pedaled about 9 miles in 45 minutes, at least according to the digital readout. So a bit sweaty and sore, but still feeling ok.

Got home and read my e-mail, and turns out Blue Man Group (at least one of the touring parts of it) will be in Huntsville Firday, so I went and bought a ticket for it, cost $85 but hey, haven’t been out in public in quite a while so this is a good opportunity.

Feel better soon, red

Cupcakes, have been to Quito a couple of times, but never out into the country itself. Hope they have a fun time. And am not a fan of the Westboro folks, glad your Church is strong enough to bother them…

OK, need to avoid the temptation of an icy-cold Pepsi…get thee behind me, Cola!!

Take care all.

So glad to hear you’re getting checked out at the doc’s tomorrow. Even if you don’t have the plague, it might be influenza (sounds like it from how laid out flat you are) and once that is confirmed there are several flu treatments that can be prescribed (tamiflu being one of the older ones) that will lessen the severity of the crud and shorten the course of it by a blessed day or two less.

Keep checking in with us. Holding good thoughts for you.
