Hah! It is to laugh! Removing the power supply has proven to be a major pain in the ass. It’s a Dell XPS. We’re down to the final cable to pull through, and we cannot get it through because a fan and some other cord are in the way. No matter how much we smush, push, or pull that sumbitch won’t come through.
His broken source is 1000w; he games a lot, has a pretty big graphics card, and I have a feeling we’re going to need at least that much. I’ve priced them and they’re well over 70 bucks. My husband has given up in disgust and I keep trying to get the last damn cord out.
The funny thing is, we replaced the power supply on my computer with no problem at all. It was easy-peasy. Why does Dell makes things so stupidly? In order to get the power supply out, we had to remove the cages below the power supply because the lip on the top of the case was in the way. Then it was time to sort through all the cables and unplug and smush and push them through places they shouldn’t have ever been under. This last cord is just a bear and now I’m becoming cranky because my husband seems to have given up.
Well, that was unsatisfying. I spent the last 2+ hours in my studio and all I have to show for it are 2 mugs and the body that will become a dog-shaped jar. Everything else I tried to make collapsed. I think the clay was too wet for 2 of the pieces. The others, I don’t know. So I just quit. I’m too tired to mess with it. Better luck tomorrow, maybe. Oh, how I suffer for my art…* <insert pose of woe and despair>*

Blurf. Spent 3 hours in urgent care yesterday to get antibiotics that make me sleepy and nauseous. Woke up at 4 this morning and after a big glass of milk, forcing down a couple of bites of spaghetti, a hot bath and some ginger and motrin managed to get back to sleep. This may be a rough weekend.
ShinyCat feel better soon! Mumper prayers, good thoughts, vibes and appropriate/inappropriate crossed appendages headed out.
In a little while JDD and Partner are comin’ over for drinks and dindin and probably movie night. They are plannin’ on stayin’ over as drinks tend to be well, more than one should imbibe and drive. So, we’re havin’ a slumber party!
Slumber party, huh? Anyone else have a mental image of **swampy **and friends in baby-doll jammies doing each-others’ hair and playing Truth or Dare???
more like creating a burn book and playing “Stiff as a Board, Light as a Feather”
Thanks for sharing.
It’s raining and the cold front has moved thru - all the windows are open! I see snuggly sleeping tonight!
Off to make more hats…
Ogbligatroy semi-durkene psot.
Martini good. Dindin good. More martini good. No braidin’ of hair as buzz cuts don’t braid.
We shall shorty watch Oh Brother Where Art Thou cause it amuses us.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
swampy, for shame. don’t you know it’s almost time for a new episode of Doctor Who?
btw - my college-mate John Turturro is in OBWAT

Good movie.
Tommy Johnson is dressed likeRobert Johnson.
Just had fried Grouper and Filet Mignon for supper…Twas good.
Just when I was looking at the aquarium where we will have a Tanganyika community tank.
Oh no!
A friend of mine was taken to dinner by his publisher and had Filet Mignon. He told me, “I am in love!”

Irked, napped, had dinner, watched Doctor Who. slightly inbriated. life is good.

FCM, I feel ya about the art thing. Keep doing it, the Canes dog you make for me is a hit with my friends.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 68 (BRRR!) Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 86. Sounds like a pleasent day in store for south Jawja.
I am not a big fan of Doctor Who. There, I said it. Put that on my PERMANENT RECORD.
Last night was fun. We watched OBWAT. Martinis and popcorn make an interestin’ movie snack. Actually I switched over to Diet Coke cause three martinis start to make the floor rise. Thus I am all non-hungover. Can’t speak for how certain others will be feelin’ when they arise. There are three persons snoozin’ away at da cave as I post. I have a feelin’ none of them will want to deheathenate this mornin’.
Speakin’ of deheathenization, I will be all kinds of deheathenated today let me tell ya. See, this is the first Sunday the Lutherans will have their service at 9:00 A.M. followed by the Whiskypalian service at 10:45 A.M. As a dutiful member of the Vestry, I said I’d show up at 9:00 A.M. to be all supportive and such. So, of course, I get scheduled to lay read at 10:45 A.M. this week. Thus I shall be a Luterun and a Whiskypalian today. If I appear all saintly later on, y’all know why.
Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. I’m thinkin’ some cereal and milk will suffice. I’d make actual real food but I have a feelin’ that would not set well with certain others given the state of inebriation said certain others were in last night. I will, however, make sure a pot of fresh coffee is available cause I’m nice like that dammit.
Happy Sunday Y’all!
Now that I think about it, your dog may be the last one I made, which would explain why I have to re-figger how to make a dog… I do have a model here - the foot-tall dog I made in class, so I’m just scaling him down.

♪ Oh what a ♫ beeyooteefull ♪♫ morning!!!♪♫♪*
We slept with the windows open. It’s 59° at the moment, the sun is rising, the humidity is low, and the air is still. The whole week is supposed to be gorgeous. Naturally, this happens when I’m about to spend my first week back in cubicle land. Stoopit weather. Today will be laundry day and run-to-the-convenience-center day, and I think I’ll boil the chickie carcass for broth. Beyond that, who knows??
Happy Sunday, all!
Am up, have chickpeas cooking for hummus and am about to start bread and roasted veggies.
Hope you’re doing better, ShinyCat.
Sorry about the ex complications, tugig. Hope you can get things resolved quickly and have it all over with.
Thought about you at the Labor Day arts festival, FCM. They always have a nice assortment of ceramics. Most are pretty serious, formal offerings, but one vendor had chip and dip plates that were animals. The plate was the animal body and the dip bowl was the animal head. She had dogs and flamingos and others I’m forgetting.
Off to get stuff done!
Hugs all.

Up and caffeinated. I’m gonna clean the house,\ then it’s football time.
crossed fingers, please - there have been three showings in two days. I really really really want to get this whole sell & move thing over with.
