So, I walked outside for a couple of minutes for some fresh air and remarked to myself, “looks like it might rain in a little while.” I walk back inside and all of a sudden KER*SPLASH!!! I timed that just right. Go Me!

Dindin is nearly done. I came home a little early to make it. Bizkits are in the oven and will be done in a few. Yum!
Having wasted most of the day, I’m going to assume the hat-making position on the recliner. I’m sure you can all amuse yourselves without me.
So, I kind of forgot my 3rd wedding anniversary yesterday. :eek:
Both of the boys & I have had bronchitis for the last week or more so its been a very busy, exhausting week for everyone. I had gotten up early with the oldest boy and around 7am went into the bedroom wake my wife up (she had been up a lot during the night with the youngest). When I went in I actually made a mental note to wish her a happy anniversary but then forgot & left for work before saying anything.
About 9am she rings me to wish me a happy anniversary :smack:
Two things saved me:

She only remembered because her mother called her to ask if we needed a babysitter so we could go out for dinner that night.

I had given her her anniversary present a few days before so she could start using it. One of these for her iPad.
Forgive me Dude, but “kind of” only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades.

Yeah I forgot, but so did she, so I survived that one. I should have known karma would come after me as I had been reminding her about if for a while (at her request, she was certain she would forget after the week we’d had). 
Just 40 more minutes till I can go home… I can make it, I really can.
Howdy Y’all! Home from Evening Prayer over to the church house. It’s nice to have YP back. He, his wife and 15 month old daughter have been in Germany and other parts of Yurp for almost three weeks. Long time especially with a little one.

Today’s Bachelor Chow was a fairly tasty “special” fried rice. When I was done with taking blades to blades, I was in no mood to cook, so Semi-Expensive Chinese won the coin flip.
For to or row, the once in a lifetime experience will be replaced with going out to buy something to kill fire ants. While I was mowing, my feet suddenly felt hot. :eek:
What is it about someone dying that kicks off such horrid behavior in people? AFAIK, nobody in DH’s family is contesting the will, but there’s been a fair bit of rambling through the dear departed’s house and small things are disappearing. :sad:
I wholeheartedly recommend Amdro Fire Ant Killer. Second banana is Spectracide’s FAK. Used the stuff regularly in Cottonfield County, and I still bring it from Richmond to kill the pavement ant cousins that are prevalent in southern Merrylande.
