Hmmmm… Daughter just called. She subbed for a coworker today and was supposed to go home at noon. She’s the only one there, now. She doesn’t have the keys to lock the place up (it’s an ice arena), but someone is expected to come in at 2. Whatever. 
Weddings are so fun–especially when there is more than one kilt! Congrats and where is the honeymoon?

Yes. He has constipation and the trots, with stomach cramps. I think. Poor little guy only slept for about ten minutes at a time from 10 on.

Ah–and how was this diagnosed? Did you attempt to “cure” the constipation and end up “overcompensating”? (been there, done that!)

I just got something in the mail that I’ve been waiting anxiously for for several weeks – an “unbra” from Decent Exposures, which I saw recommended here on the Dope. I am here to testify that it is the most amazingly comfortable bra I have worn in I don’t know how long! And even though gravity has had its way with me as I get older, it’s still quite supportive. And amazingly comfortable! (And no, gentlemen, no pictures will be forthcoming! 
)

The bra looks comfortable, but I’m not sure they would hold up my “girls”. Let’s just say my size is on the high 30s end and I’ve never run across a bra that was wireless and would hold the girls up properly.

I sent more pictures of our boat to the gentlemen requesting them, but haven’t had a response. Sigh…this always happens. He used his work email address and ironically works at the same military installation I work on. However, the email servers out their are zealous about stripping stuff from emails, so I’m wondering if he got them at all. I sent a follow-up email telling him I’d sent the photos too, just in case.
Our new “hands free” cell phone law went into effect today. There are no “teeth” in the law, in that it’s a secondary offense. In other words, they can’t just stop you for talking on the cell phone; you have to be committing another offense. I imagine this will change however. Our seatbelt laws used to be that way too, and now driving without a seat belt is a primary offense and they can pull you over.
You know, it’s not handling the phone (unless you’re texting while driving :eek: ),
it’s the conversation that messes things up. I personally don’t talk on the phone while driving. If I do, it’s brief and along the lines of “I’m stopping at the store, so I’ll be late”.

I started to come in here, then I had a PM from Rebo about a new feud, so I had to go do that and check how I came out in the last one (number three, go me!) and then I got distracted by some other threads in the Game Room.
I also left work at noon, ate lunch and then had a nap just cause. Good day.

Well shoot, no response from that guy yet. Oh well, we’ll just keep on trying. I know we’re asking a fair price because Mr. Taters talked to the boat dealership about selling it there on consignment. They would have put the asking price at $19,000 and charged us 10% to sell it there. Plus, they wanted us to pay $350.00 for a compression test.
Mr. Taters is out on the neighbor’s boat now. He asked if I wanted to go along, but I felt that since I called in sick, it probably wasn’t a good idea to go out there. Besides, it would have looked really bad to go in all tan or burnt too.
My thrilling activity for today was unclogging my shower stall drain. It has been very slow and the shower pan fills with water whenever we take a shower. So, after several treatments of baking soda, vinegar, and hot water with one plunge to boot, I finally got it cleared.
I’m feeling just a little hungry. Maybe I’ll poke around the kitchen and see what I’ve got to eat.

Supper was good - I got a rotissed chickie from McKay’s while I was buying crescent rolls and cream cheese. 
I stopped on the way home from work for some Amish corn on the cob (so sweeeeeeeet) and 'maters (soooooooo gooooooooooood!!) **FCD ** did the dishes. SIL got a call for a second interview tomorrow. Keep them fingers crossed, kthxbye!
I think I may have “fixed” my 'puter. I was having problems with my mail.com account and the tech there suggested I empty the temporary internet files. OMG, were there a buttload!!! But they’re gone, the registry has been checked, virus scan/bot scan has been run, and I haven’t crashed yet. So I’m a happy camper here. yay!
A coworker who I’ve never met offered to run a diagnostic for me, but I don’t think I need to bother him now.
Lovely cool day - the house has been open since last night. We may be able to leave it open till tomorrow.

Ok, so even though I asked for tomorrow off (if there was low census), I’m still going in–for ONE post op and ONE blood transfusion. I really should shut up about this (because it’s easy money for me), but it offends my efficient/practical soul. The other Nice Coworker asked for tomorrow because --it’s too long to go into here.
I have oven fried chicken almost done and rice is a-cookin’. Needs some green beans and that’s dinner for this household. I watered the plants outside so even if tomorrow is 90, they’ll be ok.

I got more of those Strawberries To Die For today. Yuuuuuuuuuum. And I’m a nice niece, I took some to my aunt, and not just to bribe her but because she’s working and hasn’t yet managed to get to the market this year and I thought she’d like them. Yep. Really.

I have to work this weekend, but that’s because we’ve got a new person starting this week and my boss, understandably, wants to keep an eye on her. But I’ll get off early enough Saturday to make the ice show, so I don’t mind at all.

Eeeek, McUne, that sounds like a scary situation. Do you have a local newspaper that publishes information? Our weekly newspapers publish highlights from the police blotter. One names names; the other doesn’t. I don’t know if they leave anything out. If all else fails, you could just call the police’s non-emergency number and ask. You might be able to make a public information request.
Our library reserves move pretty fast. They buy LOTS of copies of popular books so that the wait isn’t quite as interminable. We even have a service where they let you sign up for an automatic hold on any new book by a bunch of popular authors.
Tired, but it’s Tuesday and looks like it’ll be nice enough for our Tuesday evening concert.

Six days of gluttonous sloth, or is it slothful gluttony, have begun. Supper tonight was a rotisserie chicken with sides of baked beans and mac & cheese from the Burly Butcher store. Ol’ y’all know who stopped and got a bunch of deli stuff for sammiches which we shall subsist on until Friday when we get to have a Fourth of July pigout. I have been told by our hosts to not bring anything. Not even beer. I was told that I was not allowed to even think about makin’ anything to bring. It’s a sacrifice, but somehow I shall survive. They did take me up on the offer to bring an extra ice chest so that plenteous beer chillin’ could take place.
Except for mowin’ which I shall do Thursday I plan on doin’ nuttin’. I got semi fussed at over the mowin’ but it has rained a bunch over the past few days and the yard will need it. I don’t want to end up mowin’ a hayfield next week. I did promise to sit on the back porch and drink a beer after mowin’ Thursday mornin’. Since it’s vacation, it’s ok to drink beer after ten a.m. Not before ten a.m. though cause that’d be just tacky. That’s the time for Bloody Marys. I am, after all, a proper Whiskypalian.
