I think most people that work with the public would prefer living around a guy that “attacks” people for slapping them and jumping over the counter to go after him rather than people that attack somebody for checking to see if a 50 is counterfeit or not.
I am pretty sure I can go through life without slapping and attacking some guy behind the counter, thereby avoiding a Royale with cheese. Checking a 50 to see if its real? Many folks have to do that on daily basis.
And for that matter whose more unhinged? The guy or women? Have you ever wanted to attack somebody for checking a 50? If he had been a pacifist pussy maybe he’d be the one with serious bodily injury…
Yeah, I guess I see it differently. I saw two women that were willing to “cross the line” into an area with plenty of makeshift weapons including knives. Somehow, especially considering the claim they were intoxicated, it just seem like they might have picked up utensils themselves if they’d had the time.
I think a bunch of us are extrapolating from insufficient data.
But I can tell you I’ve seen “forted up” MacDonald’s in South Central and East LA. There’s a reason for that.
Based on the report of this situation, IMO those women would be far more likely to invade your home based on real or imagined slight. Yes, the felon has killed someone. He’s also spent 10 years thinking about and paying for that mistake made at 19. These women clearly thought they were “entitled”.
It should also be kept in mind that it was an accidental shooting. I’m not handwaving the fact that he actually had a gun and was pulling it. But it’s not as if he pointed the gun at someone and intentionally shot him.
Even better. Now he’s an unhinged guy who gets so mad, he kills people he ain’t even trying to !

While not rolling around in the slop with glee like a sow in the pen, I have zero sympathy for the women.
When engaging as the agressor, one ought be damn sure you can handle your business. They sized up the situation incorrectly and ran in to a shitstorm. Thus endeth the lesson.
As for who I’d rather live in a neighborhood with? The guy in a heartbeat. I’m not offended by checking the authenticity of my currency.

The problem is that what you and him file under “fucking with him” might be vastly different. And both this incident and the one that got him in jail suggest that he has no idea what “proportionate response” might conceivably mean.
